The Marble Mountains
- Marble Mountains are a cluster of five hills made from limestone and marble in Da Nang. It's also a well-known pilgrimage site with peaks, caves, tunnels and temples all just waiting to be discovered. Named after the elements metal, wood, water, fire and earth, Marble Mountains exist in a coastal area that is renowned for stone-cutting and sculpture about 9km south of Da Nang. - The caves within the mountains hold many secrets including bullet holes from when troops used to spy on the US soldiers relaxing on My Khe Beach below and buildings standing within the caves and grottoes. There are also Buddhist sanctuaries and places of worship dotted across the mountains which are a much-visited spiritual site.
Linh Ung Pagoda
A meeting place of heaven and earth’s sacred air and people’s heart Just 9 km away from the city center, Linh Ung – Bai But pagoda is now considered as the largest pagoda in Da Nang City in both scale and art of architecture. The pagoda brings a contemporary style combined with inherent tradition of pagodas in Vietnam, with curved roof in dragon shape, the solid pillars surrounded by sophisticated sinuous dragons.

We has an excellent private tour of DaNang and Hoi An. Our guide Tung was very helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed seeing the Lady Buddha and the beautiful Temple. The grounds of the Temple are lovely and filled with fun monkey. Tung took us for a delicious local meal with the best bread we ever had! Hoi An was an interesting village where we got some great souvenirs.

Hung and the driver Ho welcomed us at our designated meeting spot. They were friendly and professional throughout our full day tour of DaNang. Hung was very knowledgeable and his English was excellent. He guided us with expert knowledge but was also very warm and down to earth sharing a bit about himself. We absolutely loved all the sites we visited and appreciated how patient Hung was with allowing us space to wander and shop a bit too. He and Ho never made us feel like we were on a tight timeline. This day was one of our favorites in beautiful Vietnam!

From the moment of pick up at the Port, we had a fantastic day with Hung. He was friendly, informative & very flexible with the activities for the day. The tour was above & beyond what the itinerary stated. Hung found a great place for us to eat lunch at Hoi An & was infinitely patient with our meandering through the shops & stalls in the town. Kudos to our driver Hua, he was amazing too!

This is actually Rebecca’s niece Cathy writing the review, because she wasn’t able to go after all. My mother and I had only a couple hours to see Hoi An. We let our guide Mr. Tung know that we wanted to take a slow walk through old town, find a nice coffee shop with a view, and do a little souvenir shopping. Mr. Tung said we could count on him and boy did he come through! He was at the meeting point early and greeted us immediately. On the drive, we saw Da Nang, which also looks like a wonderful place to visit. Once we got to Hoi An, Mr. Tung walked with us, letting us choose our pace, stopping at shops when something caught our eye. He took care to help us cross streets safely and guided us to a clean restroom when I needed it. He showed us some highlights that I’m really glad we saw, and pointed out some interesting architectural details and gave us a little history as well. We of course visited the famous covered bridge and admired many lanterns. Mr. Tung got us a perfect table at a very nice coffee shop, with a view of the river. He recommended we try “salt coffee”, which was DELICIOUS. We had a great experience and would love to have Mr. Tung as a guide again in the future. Hoi An is a very special place, and touring it with someone who can share history and insights makes it even more enjoyable. I would love to visit again.

It's always the guide that makes a tour like this work, because you spend a lot of time together in a car or walking around. Tiffany was our guide from this trip and she was great! Fun to team to, very informative about both Da Nang and Vietnam in general, with perspectives from her life and her family's life. The sights themselves were also fantastic, even on a cloudy day. Hoi An would be great at night, which we didn't do, but overall this was fantastic.
