Our tour to Saqqara and Dahshur (we chose to skip Memphis) was absolutely fantastic. A totally different experience from the Pyramids at Giza, which we saw the day before. Our guide, Alaa, was so knowledgeable and full of energy. Her explanations were incredibly detailed and she really helped to bring the sites to life - a massive benefit of having a fully qualified Egyptologist tour guide with you. Definitely make sure to go to Dahshur and enter the Red Pyramid - it's a real adventure! Apart from the historical sites, a cool thing about this trip is that you get a glimpse of the 'real' rural Egypt outside of Cairo. The palm forests are unforgettable!

Great site visit and amazing guide (Aala) to give our ten year old context about what we were seeing. Make sure to have lunch plans!

We used Go Luxor to book us an entire vacation over Christmas - this was one of the tours. Incredible company to work with - Mike is very very responsive and makes sure that everything is on track. Alaa, our guide for this tour, also for Giza and GEM was excellent. The quality of service was exceptional. I had done my research and had reached out to multiple companies before settling on Go Luxor - I called personal references (all of them were glowing - now I know why). Would be happy to answer any questions if you want to drop me a DM on TA. If you are considering a trip to Egypt, Go Luxor should be on your shortlist of companies to talk to.

I reached out to go Luxor tour company five days before my trip and they were able to accommodate me fully. Michael was so responsive over WhatsApp and had everything set for us, including our last-minute changes. Our assigned tour guide Aya and driver Mena were incredible and so informative. Aya explained everything thoroughly and took us to all the sites we wanted to see. She was so kind and even took so many photos for us without us even asking. we spent three days going around Giza, Cairo, Alexandria. Our Alexandria trip was a last-minute add-on and they were able to show us around. They met us promptly at our hotel every morning with the biggest smiles. The car was clean with functioning air con. Aya even brought us date cookies when we mentioned we liked dates! I am so glad we started in the morning at the suggested time, even if it was 7:30 AM, because we truly got to see everything before places got extremely crowded. We barely had to wait in any lines and Aya arranged everything for us and as soon as we heard her, “let’s go” we knew it was time to explore. when we come back to Egypt, we know we will be using the same tour company.

We had a fantastic experience with Go Luxor Tours. We've taken great memories from Cairo and Luxor. Well informed guides and very punctual drivers. Special shoutout to Mike who's helped us all the way through from landing in Cairo to departing back to London. He's taken care of all our itinerary and made it a very relaxed and enjoyable holiday. We would highly recommend Go Luxor Tours.

Having a guide for this tour made all the difference— we had an incredible time and have told all of our friends to move Egypt up their travel bucket list. Over our 5 day guided tour were so inspired by the pyramids, temples, and cities. We got to really open our eyes to this ancient place. So much gratitude to Mike, Francis, Michael, George, and everyone who made our time one to remember!

Wow, our Egypt trip was made so special by Go Luxor Tours! Although we booked at the last minute, from start to finish everything went seamlessly. Upon meeting our guides, we immediately felt confident and taken care for. The pick up and drop off at our hotel was so convenient! Our guides handled everything - purchasing the tickets, navigating checkpoints, instructing us at the sites, etc. They were very trustworthy and we always felt like they were looking out for us. We started our adventure in Cairo by visiting Saqqara, Dashur, and Memphis. We had a tour of the Giza Pyramids the following day. Going inside of the pyramids was a truly epic experience! Francis was our guide and he was excellent. It is so evident that he is passionate about Ancient Egypt and loves to share about it. He is very personable and is incredibly knowledgeable! Next we headed to Luxor where we spent three days touring with Michael. Michael was extremely knowledgable and a great storyteller! We started off with King’s Valley, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and Memnon. Wow, these sites were amazing! It was so cool comparing them to what we had just seen in Cairo. The following days we saw Dashur, Luxor, Dendera, and Abydos Temples all of which were amazing in their own way. We also did a Felucca boat ride on the Nile which was incredible - truly an amazing experience sailing the Nile! One unexpected but amazing thing was both of our guides were really good about organizing us to take photos and setting up poses. They both were super creative with the photography which made it fun :) We are so grateful that we chose Go Luxor and highly recommend them!

I did a week long guided tour with Go Luxor. I started in Cairo then on to Luxor and Aswan and back to Cairo. I spent time with three different guides all with Go Luxor. They arranged transportation, site tours and several cultural stops. I felt safe as a female solo traveler. I saw amazing sites and had many wonderful discussions. A once in a lifetime trip.

We did the half day tour to the Dahshur pyramids, and it was great. Everything went smoothly, as we were able to visit and enter both the Red and bent Pyramids. Francis, our guide, even arranged for us to visit the Bent Pyramid's Satellite Pyramid. He also did a wonderful job providing the history behind the site so that we could really appreciate what we were seeing. In addition, he helped us with tipping etiquette, cultural norms, pointing out fossils and pottery fragments, and where (and how) to take the best pictures! All told, we had an extremely memorable experience. Travel Tip: The day we went, the power was off at the pyramids. Luckily we had mini-flashlights and used that. I would recommend bring one if you take this tour. Also, don't let the lack of power deter you from entering the pyramids as it only adds to the "Indiana Jones" experience.
