The vehicle and driver are available to transfer you to your desired location & also to wait for you while you go on the tour. We can take you to as many sightseeing stops as you desire.
Aside from being your personal driver, he/she will simultaneously be your own personal tour guide to every place you visit. Just let us know what is on your bucket list & we can make it happen.
Not sure what you want to see or where you want to go? That’s fine, too! We can develop a custom itinerary plan specifically for you, where you will visit the most remarkable landscapes of Costa Rica.

What To Expect
Once the booking is confirmed, we will contact you and create a custom-tailored tour itinerary or follow your itinerary (if you have one already). Arrival instructions: Please after collecting your luggage and *before exiting the the terminal* please contact us. The airport provides free Wi-Fi for your convenience. This will ensure a smooth meet-up with your driver on the designated area. Once outside, look for your driver, who will be waiting with a customized sign with your name. In the unlikely event that you don’t see your name, please contact us again and remain in the same location while waiting for your driver. ⚠️ Early arrivals: We work based on the original flight landing time you booked with us. If you are landing earlier, please send us an advice notice & wait for your driver at the coffee shop outside the airport terminal. ⚠️ Delayed arrivals: If your flight is delayed by more than 2 hours, we will do our best to accommodate your new arrival time, subject to availability. ⚠️ Services with after-hours pick-up and/or drop-off (11:00 PM – 5:00 AM) are subject to special operating conditions based on distance and travel time. ⚠️ TYPE OF VEHICLE: The type of vehicle will be determined based on the number of passengers and road conditions. 5.00Playa Grande Shuttle & Tours was wonderful to work with! Jose was a wonderful chauffeur during our day long excursion to Monteverde, the Cloud Forrest and lunch! Lunch at a local restaurant was a great experience and great food! They also did an amazing job arranging a photographer for us to take family photos on the beach! Highly recommend Playa Grande Shuttle & Tours for any travel needs in Costa Rica!

5.00Our driver and guide, Jose, was great. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He was accommodating and very kind. WE felt very safe with him, which I think is important. Needless to say, he made our time that much better and was one of the favorite parts of our trip!

5.00Amazing vacation experience because of the tours arranged by Ariel and company! We had a four day, private driver/guide named José who took our family all over to our various planned excursions (national parks, waterfalls, snorkeling, ziplining, coffee tours) who became part of the family, with recommendations of traditional foods and translating for us. Already planning another trip next year and will definitely use Ariel and José again! Without a doubt, our favorite family vacation so far, and we have Playa Grande Tours to thank for it!
