Elephant Caves are situated on Elephanta Island, which is located about 10 km and an hour away from the Gateway of India by boat, and have been dated back to the 4th-5th century BC.

Elephanta Caves

5.00A great tour to the Elephanta Caves. Everything was perfectly organized by Amish from Epic Mumbai Tours, the guide Avinash was very friendly and uncomplicated. He had a lot of knowledge and was able to explain everything very well. It was a fantastic experience! We took a ferryboat during 1h 15 to reach the place. There are many stairs to reach the caves with different shops. The island is a peaceful place with wild monkeys and great view on the ocean! Thank you very much for this very great trip!
