Exceptionally bumpy ride; but great tour

3.00Take a regular van if you can. This ride is bumpy, bumpy, bumpy for almost 3 hrs each way. Avoid the 4-wheel drive. Otherwise, excellent trip. Driver very knowledgeable and could find the smallest creature in the woods. Stops along the way for scenic stops or ice cream (provided and good) to make sure you get out of the vehicle and walk around. The river trip is wonderful - very relaxing and calm, even if you see no crocs. The hike in the Daintree rain forest was delightful (we chose this tour due the fact it said a 45 min to one hour hike - which was true). Lunch was good. If you want to swim, recommend you wear your swimsuit to save time and then can change out of it, or else eat lunch super fast - otherwise, only about 10 -15 minutes to swim. Water very refreshing! Great tour except for bumpy ride!

4.00We really enjoyed the day tour to Daintree from Cairns. Our tour guide was Tony and he was very knowledgeable about this part of the world. The tour starts early in the day and we spent quite a bit of time in the van, but everything was well organized and comfortable. We saw a wild Cassowary in the forest, walk along the Daintree beach, took a guided hike in the jungle had delicious lunch waiting for us at the rainforest. It was a hot day and we took a dip at the restaurant's swimming pool which left us refreshed! The tour includes a stop at the delicious Daintree creamery and we had 4 scoops of ice cream flavors that were exceptional. Their Jackfruit ice cream is to die for!
