Our driver AJ was friendly, very knowledgeable, and funny. He really tried to find a cassowary. There were some hiccups (tree branch broke windows and the ferry broke down), but he was organized and handled them well. The snack and ice cream were good, but the lunch was not so great.

We had a wonderful day out with James we felt very safe and looked after. He gave us a grand tour of his backyard including a visit to see wild wallabies living on an old polo pitch eating the grass seeds we saw two boxing playfully. Daintree was gorgeous seeing the crocodiles swimming very gracefully along and understanding more about them. We witnessed a laced monitor lizard rooting out bird eggs we saw a peppermint stick insect and much much more like lichen spiders hidden in tree bark. The ice creams and lunch were fabulous especially as I'm Dairy intolerant and GF they catered for me I'm chuffed.

The rainforest was amazing and so many interesting plants and trees to learn about. The lunch spot was gorgeous in the middle of the forest and it was delicious. It was so good to try some new local fruit icecreams and they were so good! Our guide went above and beyond and stopped at so many cool places along the journey.

We had an incredible day on our Daintree tour with Lisa as our guide. From the moment we boarded the bus, she was welcoming, friendly and full of knowledge about the area. She looked after everyone so well and made the whole group feel comfortable. Lisa kept us right on schedule without ever making the day feel rushed. Her commentary was the perfect amount—interesting and informative, but never too much. The bus was also extremely comfortable, and the air-conditioning was excellent (which was truly essential in the tropical heat!). Thanks to Lisa and the smooth experience, I would absolutely book with Tropic Wings again for future Cairns trips. Highly recommend this tour and especially Lisa!

This was a very interesting tour of the Rainforest. Graeme was our guide. He was very informative and interesting. You should know the drive is approximately 2 hours each direction and you are in a van that holds about 30 people. Beautiful coastal drive and scenic lookouts, too.

Kel was our driver/tour guide and she was fantastic. Her knowledge of the rainforest made the tour so much better.. we drank the local tea and had some crackers before the cruise. The cruise captain also did a great commentary. The tour is well worth the price.

This is a must! James had so much knowledge about so many things! He told us so much I took notes on my phone. We actually saw a male Cassowarie with his 2 babies... BEAUTIFUL, I hope you go, it is so worth it

My husband and I were picked up at Trinity Beach on Wednesday 11th November. The bus was nearly full and our only option to sit together was the last row. There was no warm welcome - in fact there was no warm anything - the whole trip - our driver did not smile once. He spoke in a monotone, and it felt like he hated his job and just wanted the day over and done with. While our driver was informative we could not hear him over the bus engine - despite asking our driver to turn up the volume. I am short, and it was an effort to get in and out of the bus – yet we saw other Bill Tea Safari tours offered a step stool. Our driver was in such a rush to get to each destination he crossed the centre line on the winding roads, didn’t stop at a stop sign, and did not slow down to the recommended speed through road works. Our driver also made an inappropriate comment about people who may have wanted to order the dairy free icecream option. The suspension in the seats at the back of the bus was non-existent making the rides between the stops horrible – we were tossed about side to side and up and down. Our spines were realigned and we suffered whiplash like symptoms. I confess that we could have: asked another couple to swap seats; asked our driver to slow down; and asked our driver for a step stool. Our travelling experience was really disappointing because the stops along the way were great.
