This was a wonderful way to explore Daintree, with a river cruise, a walk through the rainforest and mangrove, plus time to spend on a beautiful beach. To top it all, we had the most delicious exotic ice cream on the way back. We travelled in a small group in a 4x4 vehicle and our guide and driver, Daniel, was interesting and informative. All in all, a trip not to be missed.

Its going to be bumpy ride, The roads are not kind to the tosh and i mean that, make sure to take an anti sickness tablet too i wish i had. This experience was a good day out with lots of plants and animals to see the only negative things I found were if you didnt want to swim there wasn't much to do if not. Just pot around waiting to move on to the next thing. If you want a rainforest walk this is the tour to do.

I liked the itinerary, starting with the river cruise looking for crocs, we saw some baby ones. Stopped at a scenic viewpoint. Next we went to the lunch spot where people could swim in a creek by the rainforest. The rainforest walk was great and we learned a lot from our guide about it. The photo opportunity at cape tribulation beach were awesome. Ending the tour on the orchard with exotic fruit ice cream was perfect.

A very nice tour where you learn a lot about plants and animals. Cruise, guided tour of the rainforest , tasty lunch, further stops and finally eat Daintree Ice Cream.

Beautiful tour! Was an amazing introduction to the Daintree rainforest and Cape Tribulation. Walking the boardwalk and seeing the mangroves was my favorite part, I had never seen anything like it before! Really enjoyed the structure of the tour - never felt rushed, had plenty of opportunities to eat or go to the bathroom, the itinerary flowed well. Our guide Mark was also great and very knowledgeable! If you get motion sick in cars, I’d recommend bringing an anti-nausea medication as the bus trip through the rainforest is on a very winding road :)

We booked a Daintree Rainforest day tour through Viator, operated by Billy Tea Safaris. Overall, it was a relaxed and well-paced tour, combining a river crossing, short rainforest walk, scenic lookouts, beach time, and lunch. Itinerary & Experience 7:10 a.m. – Pick-up from hotel 9:15 a.m. – Daintree River Ferry (about 1 hour); we were fortunate to spot a couple of crocodiles Boarded the bus on the other side of the river Stop at Walu Wugirriga Lookout 11:30 a.m. – Lunch stop (with an optional swim in a nearby pool). Vegetarian options included pasta and a veg patty 12:30 p.m. – Back on the bus Madja Botanical Walk – A 1.2 km easy rainforest walk, informative and unhurried Drive to Cape Tribulation with about 30 minutes at the beach 2:15 p.m. – Back on the bus Ice-cream stop en route Return drive to Cairns, including a river crossing from the bus itself Before 6:00 p.m. – Drop-off at hotel This tour offered an introduction to the Daintree, with a comfortable mix of travel, light walking, scenery, and food breaks. It is not a must-do if time is limited, but it is a good option if you have an additional day in Cairns and prefer a relaxed, senior-friendly itinerary without strenuous activities.

After serveral guided tours in Queensland I have to say, this is not my favorite one. I do not see any benefit from that guided tour compared to driving up by my own. A lot of random stories (too much talking) in the bus during the drive and not so much information on the boardwalks, so where is the benefit the guide brings? If you join anyway, please make sure you are not the last to catch the bus, as the bench row in the back of the van is only for hobbits. Sorry to say, but this tour wasn't my thing.

A long, but well organized day! We really enjoyed this tour and hearing more about the history of Australia.

Our trip to the Daintree Forest and Cape Tribulation was a good one. John, our guide, was very knowledgeable and focused on ensuring our comfort. We appreciate the fact that he was willing to guide us around his backyard.
