An unforgettable day out in the Daintree Rainforest. Rob our guide was brilliant at explaining the history and the ecology of the rainforest along with a touch of humour and great stories. We also saw crocodiles, a "dragon" and various large spiders. The trip up to Cape Tribulation was fabulous- would highly recommend.

What a wonderful all-day excursion! Pick-up was prompt at the hotel (at 8:15pm; Sheraton Grand Mirage) and we ended around 5:30pm back at the hotel. Our tour group consisted of about 10 people (3 groups) plus the driver. Our guide (Ash) was very affable and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of each area we visited. We did the Mossman Gorge, Daintree Forest, Mount Alexandra Lookout, Cape Tribulation, and then a delicious ice cream vendor together; we also crossed the Daintree River via boat, which was led by another tour operator, while Ash brought the van across the river using the ferry. We saw the following animals: crocodiles (on the river), spiders (generally orb), and lots of insects. Sadly missed seeing any cassowaries or marsupials (but makes sense given time of the year). Lunch was great. My wife and I didn't go down to the natural pool afterwards but the others on the trip really enjoyed it. You'll have an opportunity to change into / out of swimming clothes at the lunch spot (bathrooms are clean/spacious).

This was an excellent tour, we were picked up on time by Grant. First order of business - get your lunch picked so it’s ready when the tour arrives later! We saw do much, learnt so much. Grant was friendly and funny and happily engaged with everyone and shared so much! Was the perfect tour to see this beautiful part of the world. Worth noting - there’s an amazing walk through the rain forest on private property. Wear proper shoes, it’s absolutely gorgeous but it’s rough in part and the terrain could be challenging for some. Would absolutely recommend Tony’s tours,

I had a tour this week, there were only 7 of us and we all got picked up from our hotels which made things really easy. The walk to mossman gorge and the river tour were great but then sadly the ferry over to get to the main rainforest broke and didn’t look like it was going to be fixed anytime soon. So they ended the tour early and explained that we’d be appropriately refunded. I went into an information centre to find something else to do but in doing so found out that the ferry had re opened. On the off chance I emailed tony’s and asked if they’d be willing to resume the tour as I had no other way of getting there otherwise- to my surprise they said yes and 15 minutes later I was back on the bus with 2 others who wanted to re join, had an amazing walk off the beaten track and got ice cream. We even saw a cassowary. Our tour guide was Adam, he was fantastic. His knowledge of nature and history was incredible and he really bought the experience to life particularly around the different plants we were seeing. He also added a few extra stops in, which definitely made up for what we’d lost earlier in the day and was very kind. I’d thoroughly recommend this tour both for quality and customer service

We were on this tour, 19 February 2026. My wife and I from the Netherlands and Lisa and Abbi from the U.K. It was the low season, the rainy season so there were only four of us. Our tour guide was Adam. Adam is a very nice person and a walking encyclopedia. He knows a lot about animals in general, insects, birds and all the rest. He also knows how and where to spot them. He also knows the history of the Daintree and Australia in general. He has an enthousiastic way of sharing his knowledge. The tour consists of two very interesting walks through the jungle, morning tea with cookies and cakes, transportation through the whole area, a boat trip, lunch, swimming in lovely refreshing water, a visit to an icecream factory and I probably forgot to mention some orher things. The tour lasts all day and in my opinion, it is worth every dollar. A special thanks to Adam, who made this tour a highlight in our Australian travels.
