Picked up at our hotel in Port Douglas by a very friendly guide (Rob) who did the driving for the day AND entertained us with just the right amount of humor and tons of interesting facts about the Daintree Rainforest and sites along the way. (Mossman gorge, short river crossing on a boat where we saw saltwater crocodiles, rainforest animals, spiders and lizards and rainforest plants, stops to see the views, short hikes through rainforest, etc.). We had tea and muffins in the morning at one stop and lunch at a local, off the beaten path restaurant (we pre-ordered at pick up and it was ready and waiting when we arrived). The entire day flew by. Our guide was a local and very, friendly. Our small bus held about 12 total so the small group aspect was just as described. As you can see - there are tons of great reviews for this - Highly Recommend!

From the moment the experience started until it ended, everything was perfect. We were lucky with the weather, but what made the day even more special was the group and, especially, our guide Adam. By the end of the day, we had formed a beautiful group. You can really tell that Adam is passionate about nature. I was amazed by all the interesting facts he shared with us. He clearly knows a lot about his job and was very professional. We shared this experience with a couple from Sydney and another from Brisbane. We are from Argentina, and even though we don’t speak too much or fully understand Australian English, we felt very comfortable and understood everything perfectly. I highly recommend doing this tour with this company, especially for backpackers. The value for money is excellent. They offer the same great service as bigger companies, but at a more affordable price. The breakfast was perfect, the lunch was great too, and the most incredible part was seeing many crocodiles and swimming in a river in the rainforest. Thank you, Adam, and thank you to the company. We are taking home a beautiful memory to tell our grandchildren one day. Highly recommended!

Randall was a great host. We enjoyed our day and learnt so much. We were going to do a self drive but are very happy that we made the decision to do a guided tour instead. There is so much we would not have seen and learned had we just driven ourselves. Great service and great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

We are travelling up the East Coast of Australia and have sampled some great experiences. We booked the Daintree tour direct through “Tony’s Tropical tours” because they had great reviews and were local & experienced. The tour did not disappoint. We had a great tour guide in “Ash” who looked after us very well throughout the day. He was very knowledgeable and ensured we all had a great time. We started at Mossman gorge and then went for a walk through the tropical forest. Ash pointed out different species of spiders… along with the history and make up of the rain forest. We had a crocodile tour with Brad which was great seeing a few old and very young crocs from the boat, lining the banks. Lunch was very tasty and plentiful and a chance after to swim. We then visited cape tribulation which was a stunning beach where the rainforest meets the sea/reef. Plenty to see and go throughout the day and time well spent. The company are not a mass book company agent like Viator which is why we chose “Tony Tours”. I accidentally left my glasses on the coach and the next day they were delivered to our next hotel in Cairns, by Gemma. Seriously impressed with the business, professionalism and local/personal touch. It has a family feel about the business and we would definitely recommend them ahead of any other operator for this trip.

Our guide Grant was a lot of fun and easy to chat with, and full of knowledge. We were on the 7.15am tour and were picked up on time. The whole day was entertaining and learned a lot re the local flora and fauna. Too many highlights to name. I would definitely recommend this tour

We had a car with us in port Douglas and thought about checking Daintree out on our own-but then we realised we’d like a guide giving us expert advice and know where to go and what to see. We are extremely pleased that we took this route. Our tour guide Chris was exceptional! So very knowledgeable and a lovely, funny guy. I had phoned in advance to check that the tour was suitable for me and the lady on the phone was very good at letting me know the day’s full activities-also very nice. Chis did a great job of looking after me and helping where necessary. Complete highlights:- Swimming in Cooper’s Creek-we would never have been brave enough or wise enough on our own. Chris spotting the Cassowaries for us to see. Absolutely sunning colours! Our meal was also lovely too. A lovely tour company to deal with and we would thoroughly recommend the trip we did.

Fantastic! Very knowledgeable and entertaining guide, Chris, who was exceptional. In addition to a couple standard mass tourism stops we also visited a private section of the rainforest that was very special, awesome in fact. The meal included was sizable and delicious where we also swam in a secluded river swimming hole. Overall, a wonderful trip!
