From hotel in Da Nang or Hoi An, drive to MARBLE MOUNTAIN to explore huge natural caves used by VC soldiers as hiding places & hospital in Vietnam War. Take in the views of river, ocean & islands. We then drive along Da Nang coast to MONKEY MOUNTAIN (Also known as Son Tra peninsula). From the high points, you'll take in amazing views of Da Nang city, Pacific Ocean, Cham islands, endless beaches, hundreds of fishing boats... Visit the giant Lady Buddha Statue, she smiles upon the fishing village. Walking in the gardens of beautiful flowers and bonsai trees. You'll see common Macaque monkeys... IF LUCKY, you'll see the rare & endangered colorful Langur monkeys.

What To Expect
The Marble Mountains
Pickup from hotel in Hoi An or Da Nang, drive to Marble Mountain (in Da Nang), discover the stunning Âm Phủ cave inside Marble Mountain with your local guide to learn how Vietnamese soldiers used to hide and fight in the wars. The cave was also a secret hospital to save wounded soldiers. Walk 150 steps or take the elevator to the peak of Marble Mountain. A knowledgeable guide will show you the best highlights so you don't have to spend too much energy but still see the hidden beauty that most people miss. You will admire the rustic charms of historical pagodas, Buddhist statues, and shrines, which are a few centuries old. Local believers and monks pray here often. You will learn interesting local beliefs and Buddhism.
The Marble Mountains
Continue to explore Marble Mountain, and enjoy the river views and ocean breeze at various points. Visit the huge Heaven Cave, you will take in the beauty of natural limestone formations. Take pictures with rustic statues of Lady Buddha, Happy Buddha... Visit the 500-year-old Carving Village to see amazing marble sculptures made by local people at the foot of Marble Mountain.

A Tour to Remember (Red-Shanked Douc Langur!!)

5.00This tour is a wonderful way to not only see the highlights of Danang but to also learn the cultural, political and economic history of Vietnam in a way that is both accessible yet family friendly for all ages. Any great tour starts with a great guide and our guide Thanh was both friendly and knowledgeable about the wide range of questions we had about this area of Vietnam and the country as a whole. He also was curious about our background and viewpoint that made the tour feel like a conversation and not a one sided presentation. The pickup at our hotel (which changed and was amended) was flawless as was our dropoff which was both later at night and at a different point than we had originally planned. That flexibility and being able to accommodate our needs is what really makes a private tour invaluable. Tickets for all attractions are included and Thanh expertly offered any accommodations available including cold water in the AC vehicle and elevators based upon group fatigue annd exertion level. The driver Lam did minimal talking but showed his expertise by driving smoothly and efficiently through traffic and always being reedy to pick up and drop off at the most convenient points. This tour is a whole day and you will see a lot with some longer stretches of driving so the vehicle quality and spaciousness is an important consideration and, again, this tour is top notch. Highly highly recommended. Thank you to our guide Thanh and our driver Lam! Thank you for sharing tips on where to eat after and dropping us off for our tailor appointment. Seeing the rare monkeys was a treat and your enthusiasm for both the sighting and your country’s history is what made this tour memorable!

5.00We had the most amazing experience with Ben and our two fantastic drivers, Michael and Quang. Marble mountain should not be missed, the caves are exceptionally beautiful, and the pagodas and temples are stunning. We were lucky enough to get incredible views of the Red Shanked Langurs on monkey mountain, and the cheeky macaque monkeys too! Our jeep tour of the peninsula was so much fun, we had a blast. Seeing Lady Buddha is also amazing. We highly recommend this tour!

5.00Kha was a wonderful guide - both knowledgeable and encouraging, especially when it got so hot we almost cut the tour short. We’re so glad we didn’t! He kept us hydrated and shaded and his enthusiasm was contagious. The driver Tim was also really nice, always very solicitous. Highly recommend this tour and Kha and Tim for a friendly, organised and informative experience! The only tip I would give is to bring a really good hat and hand fan in the summer!

5.00Had a fantastic day visiting Marble Mountains, Monkey Mountain and the Lady Buddah. Thanh was a great guide, told us all about the history of each place, very knowledgable and easy to chat with. Lan was a great driver, always making sure the AC was on when we got back to the car! All in all a fab day and would certainly recommend if you're wanting a half day tour 😊
