This 811-meter-above-sea-level mountain with 4/9 difficulty is very accessible from Metro Manila. It is, indeed, a great destination for those seeking for a quick adventure fix. Mt Batulao features well-established trails, majestic rolling hills, remarkable views, and picture-perfect landscapes.
Mt. Batulao is perfect for newbies. The first part of the trek is super easy. The trek after camp 7 to and from the summit down to camp 8 however is something newbies would find a bit of a challenge but it’s the kind we all can learn from and will prepare us to more challenging climbs.

I would not recommend this hike to anyone looking for a 'moderate' experience. The difficulty level was completely misrepresented—this hike was hard, exhausting, and dangerous. We've done several hikes before, but this one was by far the toughest and longest, not suitable for moderate hikers at all. On top of that, the weather was foggy and rainy, which they failed to mention beforehand. We couldn’t see any of the promised views, and the trail was covered in mud, making it even worse. The only positive was the tour guide, who did her best despite the terrible conditions. One star just for her effort."

This trip was the highlight of my time in the Philippines so far. The scenery was so bucolic atop the mountain and hiking in the early morning was so serene. I loved my tour guide, Genesis. He was so knowledgeable about the area of Tagaytay, the mountains, and he was a very funny guy. There was not a dull moment at all. Our mountain guide, PJ, was such a sweet fellow. He helped me get around on the slippery rocks and mud, and he even sang with me a bit. I enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Mt. Batulao, and I thoroughly enjoyed my hiking buddies that went with me. Thank you for such a memorable time. I will never forget it.

Its one of the amazing mountains to hike but keep your hiking gear with you. The trail is steep and slippery and the guides usually don't tell you the difficulty level.

The guides were amazing, Ellé picked me up and Alfred pur local guide practically danced up the mountain. The views were incredible. I needed some help coming down due to the steepness and Alfred was great. It’s an early start but completely worth it.

Great tour to discover mount Batulao. They pick you at your hôtel at 4 am, we arrivéd around 6 am and start the hike as the sun rises, it was awesome The views are beautifuls, when you get at the top you get a great 360 view of the Mount Regarding the hike, it takes around 2 hours to get at the top and 2 hours to get down, some paths can be a bit challenging. On our way down we made à break and drink some coconut juice :) The tour operator and driver (Seana and Pedro) are super friendly, they drove me to the Mount s village, and i then start the tour with the local guide Sanders (some issue to communicate in english but he was super friendly as well)

If you are bored of Urban Manila and need some fresh air, just try it. However, this is not an easy hiking tour that you can imagine. First, it takes around 2 hours from downtown Manila. Once you arrive the starr area, your local guide will join you. Without any local guide, you will never be able to reach the top, especially you are a traveler like myself. On the way to the top, you can enjoy the scenic views while you might struggle steep uphills. Overall, it's a great experience and unforgettable. Our tour operator, Jonathan and local guide worked very well with appreciation.

I had a great hiking trip thanks to tour guide Jonathan, driver Loni (not sure about the spelling) and young local guide Sandor (not sure about this spelling either). Jonathan and Loni did pick me up at the hotel at 4 am as decided. The ride to the place where the hike started went smoothly and we also stopped on the way so that I could buy som breakfast. The weather was not perfect and the road sometimes slippery but the views were spectacular and it was not a very tough hike except for some few parts when we had to use roops. After the hike did Jonathan and Loni join me for a genuin filippino noodle soup lunch. The way back took a while because of the traffic but all in all I had a great time.

Had an amazing day with Joannah and Marvin. They pointed out sites and landmarks on the drive from Manila to the hike, which was a nice bonus. The hike itself was spectacular - incredible views along the way. I'll note that it might be a little disconcerting at some points if you're afraid of heights, but the guides will literally hold your hand and help you over any parts where you feel unstable. Would definitely recommend booking with them :)

Awesome hike, good guide, great views, close to the city, still have plenty of time afterwards to do what you wish. The views were outstanding , of all the hikes we took , best photogenic trek to the top so far. Some climbing involved, i basically am healing from a burn on my right foot , still made it. Two thumbs up
