A fantastic full day of relatively local south Tassie attractions. Jo was efficient and extremely knowledgeable on Tasmanian history and very accommodating on adapting to the changeable weather conditions. His local expertise on the sites visited allowed optimal experiences for the time frame available. Wonderful waterfalls and rainforest wilderness trails, native animals up close, heritage Richmond is a charm and finalised with wonderful Hobart views from Kunanyi complete with snow flurries... spectacular. Had a fantastic day 😀

I had a phenomenal time on this tour. It was a lovely small group of us and our tour guide and driver was fantastic. My favourite part was Mt Field, but I also loved Richmond and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Unfortunately Mt Wellington was a bit cloudy!

Brett was a great guide, having worked in the animal support industry. Plus he knew all the area strengths and concerns.

Great tour, sort of a Tasmania sampler. Brett was really informative and I enjoyed learning about Australian wildlife from him. My only complaint with the tour was that there was a couple on it who were constantly late. They made us miss our keeper tour at the wildlife sanctuary. Brett was really too polite to say anything to them so they just kept being late and eating into our time. Other tour operators have said they would leave you if late and either come back themselves for you later or have someone from the company round up the stragglers. I didn’t appreciate that these two individuals were allowed to affect the entire group as they did. Their being so late wasn’t in the operator’s control, but how it was handled just having to all sit around waiting didn’t seem right either. It’s very cold on the top of Mt Wellington so bring an extra layer so you can appreciate the views without freezing to death.

The Mount Wellington and Russel Falls tour was amazing. There were around four main stops, but plenty of time to enjoy each one - the pace felt really comfortable. Russell Falls was stunning, with its moss-covered forest creating a natural calm atmosphere. It was also great to see the Tasmanian devils and echidnas at Bonorong. The slow-cooked lamb with veggies at Richmond Arms was a real treat, and Mount Wellington itself was the perfect finale - the view over the city and the rocky landscape was breathtaking. Despite a bit of light snow, we were lucky with the weather and even saw a rainbow. Warm clothes we brought “just in case” turned out to be very handy at the top. A special mention to our guide, Brett - a true scholar and gentleman who created a very comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the day. After this experience, I’d definitely love to join a similar tour again.

This tour was an absolute highlight of my trip to Tasmania. Brett’s deep knowledge and genuine passion for the local flora and fauna made the experience truly exceptional — and spotting a platypus in the wild was the perfect bonus!

One of the best days out I've had in Australia. We experienced rainforests, animals, history and a mountain all within 9 hours. I couldn't recommend this tour more
