What To Expect
Shkoder
We begin our day early in the morning. Guests can be picked up directly from Tirana, or you can join us in Shkodra, with the meeting point set at the lively Shkodra Promenade. We start with a relaxed walk along the colorful pedestrian street filled with cafés and boutique shops — a great introduction to the spirit of northern Albania.
Rozafa Castle
Rozafa Castle – History & Panoramic Views Our first major stop is Rozafa Castle, one of the most famous landmarks in the region. Set on a hill above the city, the castle offers beautiful views of Shkodra, Lake Shkodra, and the surrounding rivers. You’ll also hear the legendary story of Rozafa and explore the ancient fortress walls.

5.00We had a day a very informative day tour to north of Albania . We visited Kruja a museum and the old bazar . Then we visited shkodra a legendary castle and the city small but lovely promenade

5.00A wonderful experience between Kruja and Shkodra 🇦🇱 I had an unforgettable day visiting Kruja and Shkodra, two cities rich in history, culture and authentic beauty. In Kruja, I was fascinated by the castle, the old bazaar and the stone streets that tell the story of the Albanian people. The atmosphere was magical, with breathtaking views and welcoming and smiling people. In Shkodër, I discovered a lively and lively environment: the lake, the Rozafa fortress and the old town offer wonderful views and a feeling of peace and tradition. It was a very special day, full of emotions and beautiful moments that I will always carry with me. I recommend everyone to visit these two extraordinary cities — Albania can surprise with its authenticity and its human warmth.

An artist at heart and a history enthusiast, he brought every site to life with his passion and knowledge. In Kruja, we explored the Skanderbeg Museum and the charming Old Bazaar, where Xhuliano introduced us to local artisans. In Shkodra, we admired the breathtaking views from Rozafa Castle and explored the Marubi Photography Museum, enriched by his artistic insights. 5.00The tour was fantastic and Albi was AMAZING. I feel like I took a master class in the history and culture of Albania. He was so professional and well put together; this man knew his stuff. He was an incredible driver and I felt very safe driving with him. I honestly have probably never had a better tour in my life. You can tell he cares deeply about his clients, as well as sharing the history and culture of Albania with those who are visiting. I would recommend anyone to ask for Albi for this tour because he made the trip an absolute joy. Seeing both of the castles was incredible and the museum at Kruja Castle is totally worth the trip. Rozafa Castle was a fantastic stop as well. We had a great walk around Shkoder and he helped select a great place for me to have lunch. I wish there were more stars to share for how wonderful the day was!! Hands down Albi made it the best tour I have been on in Albania, and probably ever! Highly reccomend!

5.00Beautiful very pleasant day, our Guide was very attentive safe and impeccable driving. He made us a nice proposal for lunch , local produce and in a superb environment. Our Guide Tony speaks several languages , we had nice conversations . In short , we had a great day, I recommend Tony 100%. Feel free to make escapades with this Guide. His car was clean.

5.00This was my third excursion with Local Friends Albania. Had previously visited Prizren in Kosovo, Berat, and Ohrid in North Macedonia. From first contact via WhatsApp to the day of the tour itself, Skerdi and Xhulijo were awesome. Highly knowledgeable not just on the surface but on deeper questioning. They know their stuff! Highly recommend - particularly Skerdi’s singing ….. 😎
