Northern Stelae Park
Begin the tour with a visit to Northern Stelae field. These famed granite obelisks are relics of this time and have gained UNESCO World Heritage site status. The tallest, the Great stelea, has fallen and broken in to six massive pieces, but when standing was 33 meters (108 feet) tall and weighed about five hundred twenty tones and other remarkable pre - Christian monuments.

5.00It is a surprising city, with a rich millennial history. Its monuments, its obelisks.... and, of course, Santa Maria de Zion and the Ark of the Covenant. The tour does not ask to be better organized by Beka. Recommended 100 percent.

5.00Really spectacular. I was reading everything you could see in Axum but still the tour surprised me a lot! Beka always organizes everything perfect to make it an amazing visit. The obelisks, the church of Santa Maria de Zion, the trilingual table, the palace of Kaleb... The Aksumite empire must have been great. But Aksum has more... Tigray always gives more. And Beka knows how to show it to you and pass it on.
