Tino was a great host, kept the bus laughing the whole day, and had lots of local recommendations. I didn’t like the tour company’s app or find it useful. Garden of Morning Calm was beautiful and would love to spend more time here if it’s the right time of year and flowers are in bloom.

The trip was OK and we were happy to get out of town. I was displeased that we had to download their own app simply to communicate with the guide for this one trip...probably because using WhatsApp like any other company around the world does not work with automated promotions for their business. The guide also let some to be desired. Reese's English was not very clear and she spoke really fast, so both hubby and I were left to guess sometimes what she said. Being that she had a lot of time at her disposal during the bus rides, that was too bad to rush thru...but getting on her phone seemed to have been a priority. We just made sure to know when to return to the bus as to keep up with the schedule. The first time she was rude was when she asked about our umbrellas which we borrowed from the hotel and commented..."oh, that's an expensive hotel!"...nobody's business and how is that a useful comment? The worst moment of the trip was at Nami island, when we considered the zipline to get to the island instead of the ferry. She point blank said that old people should not be doing that. BTW, I look for ziplines when we travel because they are pure fun...but never had anybody call us too old to do something. Reese should best keep her opinions to herself and not call people incapable to do things to their faces, especially because she thinks they are old to do it. If you wonder...yes, we did it and it was a short, fun ride (jsut so you know, we paid extra for that). We recommend the trip if you have enough time to spend a day out of town, but suggest going with a different company...there are plenty of choices.

We found the Morning of calming light garden the better of the two. It is beautiful and we visited in the morning when fewer crowds were there. Big thanks to Branden.

This was a fantastic day trip that exceeded my expectations! Our guide, HaKim, was wonderful—offering helpful tips to make the most of our time at each stop. The Garden of Morning Calm was absolutely stunning, with its rich biodiversity, peaceful water features, and hidden corners perfect for quiet reflection. I loved how serene it felt, with plenty of spots to pause and soak in the sounds of nature. Nami Island was equally memorable. The optional zipline (for a small extra cost) was an absolute highlight—soaring over the water with the Korean mountains as a backdrop was unforgettable! Once on the island, I enjoyed wandering through its whimsical landscapes, blending natural beauty with a fairytale atmosphere. The ostriches were an unexpected and fun surprise too. Highly recommend this trip if you want a mix of relaxation, adventure, and unique experiences just outside of Seoul!

The garden and the island were beautiful. Booking in the fall would be best for the nicest weather and the prettiest foliage, but it’s beautiful in the summer as well.
