This full day tour brings you to three places, which are Zaanse Schans, Lego Village and Giethoorn.
In the morning, you would visit a Dutch cheese factory, a wooden shoe factory and enjoy a royal diamond demonstration at Zaanse Schans; After that we will travel Zaandam City Center to see the famous 'Lego' building, You will have free time here to take photos as many as possible, or just walk around in the 'Lego' Village. After that, you will travel to Giethoorn, you would discover the 'Green Venice' of Holland and enjoy one hour free boat cruise in Giethoorn.
This 10 hours experience gives you a relaxed, memorable and enjoyable tour with lots of beautiful photos.The tour offers free hotel pick-up service in Amsterdam. Bottled water, power bank, umbrella are provided during whole trip.

What To Expect
Zaanse Schans
You would expect to have following activities on our tour at Zaanse Schans. you would have a Dutch cheese factory tour, to understand how to make cheese in the traditional way. You could taste more than 30 different types of cheese here. After that, we will take you to a wooden shoe factory tour. You would watch a live demonstration of making wooden shoe by a traditional clog maker. After that you would have a private Royal Amsterdam Diamond tour, to know the history of diamond, and enjoy the diamond with 268 cuts. Of course you would have your own free time to get close to the windmills and take photos.
Catharina Hoeve Cheese Farm
This attraction is the first stop at Zaanse Schans. As described above, you would experience this old cheese farm/factory, to have a private tour of how to make traditional dutch cheese, get to know the history of this cheese farm, and cheese tasting with more than 30 different flavors.

5.00Zaandam Lego Village is just a photo shoot place. Luckily we spent only 15 mins there. Zaanse Schans is a wonderful experience with its wind mills, cheese tasting, village experience and wooden shoe making demo. We bought quite some variety of cheeses. Giethoorn is awesome never to miss experience with it canal cruise tour and walking around the village. With it breezy 12 to 15 deg temperature, walking around provided a laid back experience. Our tour guide Kai entertained us with facts, figures and also fun. He guided us well, recommended lunch places and explained the places we went. Thank you Kai. Overall wonderful experience.

5.00We had a fantastic day trip, everything was really well organized, and the experience felt seamless from start to finish. Our tour operator, Koen, was excellent. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day enjoyable with his insights and easygoing style. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it made a big difference in the overall experience. Transportation was smooth and comfortable, and the itinerary was well-paced so we never felt rushed but still got to see a lot. Each stop had its own charm, and it was a great way to experience areas outside of Amsterdam. Highly recommend this tour.

5.00If you’re thinking about doing a day trip from Amsterdam—do it. This Day Trip to Zaandam Lego Village, Zaanse Schans, and Giethoorn was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Zaandam was such a fun and unexpected stop—the Lego-style architecture feels like something out of a storybook. Walking through Zaanse Schans was like stepping back in time, with its iconic windmills, wooden houses, and live demonstrations. It didn’t feel rushed at all—we actually had time to take it in, grab photos, and enjoy the atmosphere. And then Giethoorn… wow. Giethoorn is every bit as magical as people say. The canals, thatched-roof cottages, and peaceful vibe made it feel like a fairytale. Cruising through the waterways was incredibly relaxing and honestly unforgettable. What really made the day stand out, though, was Simon. He was knowledgeable, organized, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He shared great insights without overwhelming us, kept everything running smoothly, and added a personal touch that made the whole experience feel special—not just like a generic tour. 5.00Really enjoyed the trip, got to see the windmills, tried all sorts of cheese and the wooden clogs. Koen was very good at timing our activities to avoid crowds which we really appreciated! The boat cruise through Giethoorn was scenic and relaxing.
