Mr Nghia, our tour guide, was fantastic. His knowledge of the history of the dynasties & the imperial city was incredible. The scenic drive on the Hai Van Pass was great to see. Thanks to our amazing driver, Bsi, who navigated those hair pin bends. This tour is away from the cities & it’s good to see the countryside of Vietnam. The Imperial City was ok but a lot of the buildings being restored. The boat trip along the river in an old wooden boat is novel. The city of Hue is nothing to talk about. Our lunch was average. If you do this tour, you want a guide that can make it interesting otherwise I would say this is an ok tour. We were lucky to have Mr Nghia. It’s a big day. 10 hours.
