The tour guide lost us and left us to wander on our own

1.00Our tour guide lost us and another couple when she started running to the bus in the rain intermingling with 4 or 5 other groups. Her sign was a tan umbrella on a rainy day with lots of other tan umbrellas. She did not stop at the main intersection where the bridges lead to the buses so we went forward with other groups she had mixed in with. We eventually found our way back on our own and were scolded for getting lost. The bus also left 45 minutes late because they were disorganized and didn't check someone in when they put them on the bus so our time there was shortened. When I contacted TJ Travel they were very rude and unapologetic blaming us for not keeping up. They make excuses and blame others rather than taking any responsibility. I would suggest booking instead with European Essentials.

3.00The tour guide did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the city, Bruges. She answered questions and was elaborate with her descriptions of buildings and history of the city. The tour operator though was disorganized. There were two full size buses for this tour. We were told there would be 2 guides per bus. That did not happen. our group was just over 50 people. Confusion of receiving earphones for tour, waiting on another tour guide who didn’t show up was unprofessional and delayed the start of tour. time. Also, there were 2 cruise ships in port. There were way too many people in such a small city. I gave 3 stars only because our guide did a good job of providing information of the city and did her best managing such a large group.

5.00This excursion was wonderful. Our guide showed us the beauty of Bruges. Our guide was very funny and did an amazing job. The architecture is incredible. The canal cruise was relaxing and we enjoyed it so much. The canal cruise captain was very funny and made the cruise even better. Highly recommend!

2.00Please invest in a decent microphone. The guides experience was completely wasted by poor audio microphone quality. It was like a buzzing fly in all our ears the entire time. Also, we wasted 30mins waiting in line for the cruise portion of the excursion because the guide didn’t arrange anything ahead of time. It looked unprofessional. Send ahead and get a VIP place in line at the least. The size of the group was oversized at 35 - making it hard to move from one POI to the next. I can’t recommend this. Just use chatGPT and self guide yourself.
