This was the highlight of our 10 days in Hawaii. The crew was absolutely fantastic. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to all passengers. Evan did an amazing job at spotting whales and dolphins and guiding us towards them safely. We were able to see countless whales breaching and had dolphins swimming with us after seeing them jumping through the water. The Na Pali Coast was gorgeous and we were able to see so many different parts of it from the boat. This was a spur of the moment purchase and we couldn’t be happier with the experience.

We had such an amazing time, we seen dozens of whales and bottle nose dolphins, at one time the dolphins were swimming with us and just hanging around. The crew was very attentive and so nice, the captain was very knowledgeable telling us about the island and making sure we were able to see the whales and dolphins. The catamaran was very nice and spacious. The food and drinks were really good. I can’t stress enough about how nice and caring the entire crew was. They made the trip that much better. I’m so glad we took this trip and would definitely recommend Kauai Sea Tour to anyone and the Sunset Tour was just amazing!

Oh gosh… where to start? Starting with the positive, the crew (not the captain)….The crew was great, friendly, pleasant and kind, and they deserved 5 stars. They were attending to all the sick people on the boat and kept checking on the rest of us to be sure that we all were okay… many times. But what the heck was the captain thinking? Was he in a race against time to get home for a New Year’s Eve celebration? During the pre-tour brief the captain said that the winds were low and the waves half the typical size (so that should mean smooth sailing, right? ) it was extremely rough primarily do to the speed the captain was pushing. There were people sick and elderly afraid to get out of their seats… frankly I was afraid for them too. During the “sunset cruise dinner” it was difficult to balance while getting a plate of food, while you were bouncing and swaying abruptly, then when you went up to your seat the wind (from the speed of the boat) blew people’s food off!! Several people couldn’t get a plate of food, including my husband. It wasn’t a “dinner cruise” it was a race to the finish line, even when we were trying to eat as food bounced off of our plates. I reiterate … not because of the water or breeze, but because of the speed the captain was pushing. I asked a crew member what the captain’s hurry was and could he slow down so people could get their food and eat? The crew didnt have an answer either.

We started the trip with great enthusiasm, but unfortunately it turned into a nightmare. The family experienced severe motion sickness on the way to and back. As a result, we missed seeing many of the beautiful views, particularly the sunset, also missed snacks and dinner. The only positive was the staff—their help was excellent. They assisted with passing buckets, cleaning, and gave us the courage to bear the sickness, which we truly appreciated. We also appreciated how they packed the food for us for later but we were not able to eat due to the sickness. We’re not sure whether it was the speed of the boat or the ocean waves that caused this, but we had been looking forward to enjoying the trip. Unfortunately, our 5–6 hours felt more like a nightmare than a vacation. They should inform in the website to carry medicines for the sea/ motion sickness as a precaution. If we knew we would have carried it.

Great catamaran experience to visit the Napali Coast! Captain Alicia and the rest of crew, Mel, Chad, and Liz provided us a fun and relaxing afternoon on the water. Captain Alicia provided lots of information and stories about the Napali Coast on our journey there. We enjoyed whale watching on our way to the Napali Coast. Once arriving at the Napali Coast the views were spectacular! We got to take pictures before heading back to the harbor. Good selection of drinks for the open bar. Beautiful sunset on the water before arriving back.

The crew were excellent. The sights were amazing. Encountered a couple of whale sightings. One things that needs to be fixed is food. 1. Not enough food. They ran out of routine things like chips and beans. A lot of people did not even get a single serving of some of the items. When you are charging for the food as part of the package this is not to be expected.
