We had a really amazing time. The views were unreal and the crew was super great. My husband did get a little sea sick on the way back in so he wasn’t able to have any food but I gave him some Dramamine and he was feeling better by the time we docked. The tacos I had were so good!! Just be prepared with Dramamine for anyone in your party who may get a little sea sick!

What an incredible way to view the Na'pali Coast!! Captain Kauai and his crew were amazing! They were personable, informative, and funny! The pride and respect they have for their Hawaiian heritage and culture was remarkable. We learned a lot from them. They were careful and cautious when we encountered rough water. At no time did we feel scared or in danger. The food and drinks were very good too!

It was a nightmare. The weather was extremely bad that day, as it was very wavy on the ocean. Half of the people on board were puking, and the crew was constantly changing the bucket for people to puke. An Asian girl was having a panic attack, where she was shaking, and said she couldn't breathe. Things were so desperate that it felt like a scene from the movie 2012. Also, not much to see due to the weather. They def should cancel it ahead of time rather than just give us a warning. A waste of my money, my time, and my energy. I suggested that everyone should not book this tour and keep the money.

It was legit magical. We saw dolphins, whales, and rainbows on the way to the Na Pali Coast. The wind and waves were an experience like a rollercoaster but on a boat (in a good way). The captain and crew were so patient and compassionate with the tourists who got seasick (but don't stress, if you can speed boat on a lake without getting seasick, you can do this without getting seasick). Must do.

We had been warned at the beginning that the water was a little rough and we were welcome to reschedule. We went anyway and didn’t regret it. Our crew was great. The view was amazing, but we were not dry when we got to the Na Pali coast. Great crew and a great experience. We would definitely do it again.

The company clearly doesn’t care about safety - we were a party of 8 with children as young as 3. The captain gave us an initial message that there will be 25 mph winds and 8-10 foot swells and that we were allowed to cancel if we’d like. The point being though, average people wouldn't know what that meant. At one point - when the waves were washing off the boat, i realized there were no life jackets given and at this point kids are crying, adults are throwing up. I just read other reviews from 2 days ago that people had the same experience - I would expect the captain to at least mention that you could fall sick. And on top of it - they wanted to "complete" the sunrise cruise because people wanted to. Of a crowd of 27 people 24 voted to go back early - clearly can't read the room. We're believing you that it's safe and unfortunately i've learnt the hard way that we cannot. Seeing dolphins and whales did not make up for the clear lack of important communication. When every other tour in Kauai said no - why are you saying yes.

This was a neat cruise. We had done a helicopter tour in the morning, so seeing the same sight from the ocean was very cool. Captain Dawn and her crew did a great job. We had a great time.

We went out with Captain Dawn and her crew, and they were genuinely fantastic — friendly, professional, and clearly skilled. They did everything right on their end. But the ocean absolutely did not cooperate. About 30 minutes in, the wind and waves picked up so much that the trip stopped being enjoyable and turned into a “hang on and hope for the best” situation. We couldn’t really look at the scenery or move around, and most of the time was spent trying not to get sick. I’m sure the dinner they served was great, but all I could choke down was a few bites of rice — that’s how rough the conditions were. None of this was the crew’s fault, but it was pretty clear the ocean wasn’t in the mood for a sunset cruise. In conditions like that, the company really should have offered a refund or at least the option to rebook for a calmer day. Captain Dawn and her team were excellent. The conditions just weren’t safe or enjoyable, and the trip shouldn’t have gone out.

Hi, I’m sharing my experience on the Lucky Lady catamaran tour booked through the Marriott Beach Club concierge on Kauai—and unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing and honestly felt unsafe. Although the captain & crew members did their best to keep the passengers calm. The weather conditions were very rough, with high waves making the ride intense and uncomfortable. Nearly everyone on board was getting sick 🤢, including many adults and small children who were crying and clearly distressed. Passengers were completely soaked from the constant spray and rough seas. This didn’t feel like a safe or enjoyable excursion, especially for families. There should have been better judgment regarding the weather conditions before proceeding with the tour. I would strongly recommend reconsidering booking this excursion in questionable weather, as this experience was far from what we expected.

Fantastic trip. Got amazing views of the coast. Great stories and history from the captain. Saw picture perfect rainbows and whales. It is definitely a ride you get wet on, so dress/prepare accordingly 😉 but it was very worth it! There is an indoor area, though, so you can get to a safer place if water rides aren't your thing. If you are prone to motion sickness take something ahead of time as the water can be choppy.
