This tour takes you within 6 miles of Denali's north summit (19,470 ft.) and south summit (20,320 ft.). You will enter an ancient world of rugged high mountain peaks, towering snow-capped mountains and glacier-filled valleys and explore the south and east faces of Denali. The regular flightseeing tour is 1 hour, or choose the glacier landing option for a 1.5 hour tour including a landing atop a glacier. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience you will not forget.

You will check in at the K2 Office at the Talkeetna Airport Office, from there you will depart on your flightseeing tour of Denali
Mount McKinley
This route is the foundation for all of our flightseeing tours. Fly up to 6 miles (10 km) from Denali’s summit, then descend into the awe-inspiring Ruth Amphitheater and Great Gorge. View the Tokositna and Ruth Glaciers, the sharp ridges of Mount Huntington, hanging glaciers clinging to Mount Hunter, and the famous Moose’s Tooth.

5.00If I could give more stars I would. I was so afraid of flying before this that I just grin and bear all flights as they are a necessity. However. Under the care of this team I was moved to tears by the flight. Chad and his crew really looked after us as did the ground crew. It was well worth the drive from Anchorage and the drive back. Highly recommended **********

5.00While I was anxious about participating alone, I was lucky to have two people on board. Unfortunately, the Denali summit was a bit gassy, but we had a great experience with the flight tour as scheduled on the pre-booked date and time. During this period (mid-September to mid-May), the rail system was irregular, making it somewhat of a hurdle for the only way to get from Anchorage to the area to be by taxi or rental car.

5.00Awesome experience! Incredible views, including Mt. McKinley (Denali). In addition, the customer service we received was amazing. At the time of booking, it was suggested that we schedule this as our first adventure in Talkeetna so as to allow time for rebooking in the event it became necessary. Upon arrival in Talkeetna on a cloudy, rainy day, we immediately called K2 Aviation to inquire about our afternoon flight. Although a decision would not be made until a half hour later, they offered to send a shuttle to pick us up at the train depot and take us to where we would be staying overnight. The driver helped us with our luggage and called to get the final determination regarding our flight. Although it was canceled, he told us that he would go back to the office and work to get us rebooked. He called soon thereafter and gave us options for the following day. After taking the 11 am option, he told us that he would pick us up at 10:15 the next morning, that we could stow our luggage in the van during our flight, and that we would then be shuttled back to the train depot. A favorite Alaska experience with superb customer service!

5.00We were blessed with excellent weather on our first attempt to take this trip. The office staff and the pilot were also friendly and knowledgeable. The views were great… Almost foreign to anything I’ve ever experienced. Don’t come to Alaska without doing this

5.00The morning of our flight we were informed that they weren’t flying north or landing on the glacier. They offered an alternative plan to fly south or get a refund. We took the refund and drove north to Denali where we booked a flight that flew right by three sides of the mountain(within 1/2 mile away). Weather was clear and beautiful on the north side as opposed to cloudy and overcast to the south.

5.00Excellent! We didn’t see Denali but the blue sky patches and some sunlight lit up the rocks, mountainside and glaciers so beautifully. Our pilot, Lyndsey did a wonderful job giving us all incredible views and interesting information.

The flight through the Alaska Range was breathtaking. Flying thru rugged peaks, endless glaciers, and a landing on the ice that felt like stepping into another world. What really stood out, though, was the care and hospitality of the entire team. We weren’t treated like passengers, instead we were treated like welcomed guests sharing in something truly special.
