For starters, our guide KAYLEB, was a half hour late. He barely said anything while we walked to an architectural site and then precious little after that. Another couple on the tour said that the guide clearly wasn't interviewed in person before being hired. He showed no personality, engagement, knowledge or enthusiasm for the topic, and the tour ended with a weak "goodbye" while we were in the final restaurant. We were left to figure out how to retrace our steps to where we began.

Our guide, Terry was outstanding! She knew so much about the history and shared great insights into the redevelopment of the downtown area. I especially enjoyed the Detroit pizza and the exquisite bonbons! It was a fun tour and I definitely recommend it 👍🏼

We made the drive into Downtown Detroit, all excited for our walking food tour. The rain had stopped and it turned out to be a beautiful cold day, the only problem was that our tour guide stood us up. Never even showed up or contacted us or the others in the group to tell us that they weren’t going to make it. Totally unacceptable and very unprofessional, we have taken these walking tours all over the world and have never been treated like this before by anyone. Didn’t expect this treatment from TripAdvisor !

As a first time visitor to Detroit I wanted an overview of the city. The tour outdid my expectations with a 3 hour walking tour of the city. I learned about Detroit's history, architecture, people, culture and restaurant recommendations. We visited the riverfront, beautiful old buildings, and monuments and statues. I have already recommended the tour to my colleagues in the area.

Jim, is a very knowledgable Detroit history buff. He loves to talk about the history of Detroit. He is warm, hospitable and made the tour very fun. It was very interesting to walk down the downtown streets and see and smell all the food and hear bits of the history of the buildings etc. We enjoyed it very much. My only suggestion would be to swap out the Coney Island Hotdog for a good cappuccino:) Keep up the good tours Jim. The tour was a very nice way to get to know Detroit.

Unreliable and unprofessional ! I was wanting to celebrate my son’s birthday to this food tour and it never happened. No show! I didn’t get a email that it was canceled but the other participant got the cancellation. Then they rescheduled at a later time but no show again! They did reschedule another later time but we couldn’t hang around to find out it would be canceled again. Hopefully I’ll get a refund. So badly orchestrated.
