The boat trip was fabulous, thanks in part to amazing weather. The boat is really interesting, was on time, staff were attentive, the bar is good. The queue to start, seating at dinner made us feel a bit herded. There is plenty of good food though a bit rushed and canteen like. The show is OK but a bit staged. Still a unique experience, worth doing once.

The TSS Earnslaw is a beautiful steamship, the oldest in the Southern hemisphere. The ride was lovely with magnificent views. Walter’s Peak is charming with wonderful gardens and facilities. The dinner had delicious salads, breads, cheeses, and desserts. The meats and fish were not to our liking. We enjoyed the sheep shearing and herding show followed by strolling around the farm. The staff were great on the ship and on the farm.

We went on the Sunday night cruise at 7.00 was a great experience , the only thing that let it down was the food was dried out like it had been there all day, wouldn’t do a late night cruise again.

This was an amazing experience from start to finish! The staff were friendly and helpful. The ship was super cool -- getting to see the working steam engine was fun and learning the history of the ship was great as well. The scenery and the narration across the lake was lovely. Once we got to Walter Peak, we did the BBQ lunch and it was one of the best meals of our entire trip! We're vegetarian and they had so many great options. The cheese bar alone was worth the trip!! And the polenta was another standout offering. We were stuffed! And, the farm experience was great as well. We enjoyed learning more about sheep shearing and sheep herding (Kit did a great job getting those sheep in the pen). What a great relaxing afternoon in Queenstown!
