At The Dinner Detective, you’ll tackle a hilarious and challenging crime while you feast on a fantastic dinner. Just beware! The culprit is hiding in plain sight somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a Prime Suspect before you know it! Our engaging and unique murder mystery dinner theatre performances have been playing across the country since 2004.
Our show is very different from traditional murder mystery dinner shows. We will hide non-costumed actors in the audience that are pretending to be part of the crowd. This results in a much more social and interactive evening than with other shows. Our shows are set during the present day and take place in real time. Over the course of the night, our costumed Detectives will uncover clues, interrogate audience members that may or may not be part of the show, and help everyone get closer to solving the mystery.

4.00I found this to be very entertaining. The performers were friendly and engaging, as well as our fellow audience members. I would also add, I have been to a couple of these before in other areas and those were done in more of a dinner/comedy club type facility. In my opinion, this allowed for a different type of atmosphere in terms of things like lighting, sound effects, etc... . I think this made for a better overall mood for this kind of performance/activity. This performance was in an open, brightly lit event room at a hotel. It was nice, and we had a nice time, and the performers were great...just could be a better experience if a little more was put in to creating a better overall atmosphere.

5.00I attended the St. Louis Murder Mystery Dinner last night and had a blast! The actors were energetic and engaging, keeping the crowd laughing and involved from start to finish. The mystery was cleverly written, with enough twists to keep us guessing, and the interactive format made it even more fun. The food was solid and the pacing of the evening was smooth. Great for a date night, group outing, or something different to do in the city. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary!

5.00The setting was easy to find. There was plenty of parking, park towards the back of the building. The food was good,we had the chicken. The confirmed actors were good and the actors that were "part of the audience" did a great job of remaining incognito. A fun evening!
