We start the tour in front of the Tourist Information Centre and the swanky Fish Market. Bergen’s famed fish market is also the right place to meet the central characters of its story.

Bryggen aka the Hanseatic Enclave aka the Unesco World Heritage Site is the most iconic of Bergen’s landmarks. We walk amid the medieval buildings to retrace the story of the city's development.

5.00Our guide has a passion for Bergen, sharing his love of the city's history, we learned more than expected. The tour included the basic description of the wharf, with explanations of the history from 1100 forward, with the Hansa Germans making Bergen a hub for trade. We wandered through small alleyways and up side streets. While the ferry ride was simply over and back, it have a wonderful view of the city and it's Harbours.

5.00I loved our walking and boat tour of Bergen which I did with my husband and teens. Ani was a wealth of information and made it all really interesting. Highly recommended!

5.00Very good and worthwhile 2 hours spent doing this short excursion, very knowledgeable guide who was more than happy to answer any questions. When we go back we will definitely try and go on a longer excursion.

5.00Don was a terrific guide - knowledgeable, personable, organized, and well-spoken. He put together a fabulous and varied itinerary of this fascinating little city - from the ferry ride to the nearby island to the old city and its tales, to the famous hot dog stand - we had a terrific grounding to Bergen. At the end he gave us a “fact sheet” with recommendations and further information, which we happily used for the rest of our stay. We really enjoyed our time with Don and highly recommend his tour (and Bergen!)

5.00This has to be one of the best tours ever. I learnt so much about Bergen and my guide, Don, brought the history to life. And the ferry ride was so relaxing and gave special views of Bergen you would not normally see. I learnt so much in such a short time Thank you Don for a fantastic tour and I highly recommend this experience to anyone
