Great experience. Highly recommend! Don was our guide. He was very knowledgeable about Bergen in general but also at the different locations that we stopped at. We learned s lot about Bergen via the tour that we would have if we just walking around on on our own.

Don did a fantastic job showing us the city. He talked a little about history and culture. He offered a great introduction to our stay. The boat ride did not seem necessary and did not add to our experience.

The tour consisted of 2 parts, a walking tour and a harbor tour by boat. The walking tour was good. Our guide was affable and well informed. It was a bit more strenuous than expected including sharp uphill segments. The harbor tour was a complete loss, a simple unnarrated municipal ferry ride to the next stop and back. To be honest it was a of an insult .

This was an excellent land tour although I think the water section could be ignored. This is no fault of the tour guide - rather it reflects the amount of time allocated - 30 minutes - and the fact that you are on a scheduled ferry route. There seemed to be less emphasis on how you would tie the land and sea components together so you could create a doubly rewarding experience. Until that aspect is worked out, I think it would be better to allocate more land time and leave the watercraft section to specialist operators. You can just choose the land component if you wish as there was plenty of positives you can take from the land section. Matthieu - our guide is now a permanent resident of Norway and is embracing his new country very well indeed. His knowledge of Bergens history and its links to events and developments elsewhere in Europe over the years was strong. It was very helpful to put Bergen into the broader European context. He also had a number of insights about modern day Bergen so that you broadened your knowledge in 2 areas. All in all highly recommended,

We had a wonderful time on this tour with Don as our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and shared a lot of interesting information about Bergen through the years. The tour was a perfect combination of walking through the City Center and taking a boat ride for a different view. We highly recommend this experience!

Great way to get an introduction to Bergen and understand the history and culture. Our guide was excellent and took us round the main sights as well as a few hidden gems off the beaten track. The pace was comfortable and he was always happy to answer any questions we had. The boat trip was a great bonus and a great way to see Bergen from a different perspective. Thoroughly recommended!

It is a wonderful way to know the city. The history and the ferry ride is fun too. We ate at the fish market after the tour and went back to visit the museum on our own. Perfect time control to give us a quick introduction.
