Braastad Cognac
Ideally located in Jarnac on the banks of the Charente, the TIFFON establishments invite you to discover its exceptional heritage within an emblematic building. Founded in 1875, explore the authenticity of an independent family house whose production secrets have been passed down for 6 generations. The House is run by the Braastad family and runs the estate in a traditional way by being an actor from the vine to the glass. Immerse yourself in the secrets of cognac manufacturing through the different stages of production: history, know-how, distillation. This dive into the heart of cognac will take you to our cellars and introduce you to the art of aging and blending. Finally, after a visit to our cabinet of curiosities, the experience ends with the tasting. We present our iconic cognacs from the 3 reference categories: VS, VSOP, XO to better understand the different facets of cognac. *Tasting reserved for adults.

The Tiffon establishments welcomed us with joy and courtesy. With Éric, we took a lovely journey through this family history of Cognac along the banks of the Charente in Jarnac. The story of Tiffon and Braastad is fascinating; the transmission of expertise has lasted for over 150 years, and the master blenders and distillers transform the white grape clusters from their vineyards into noble spirits as tradition requires, all within a historic site where the building is a masterpiece of architecture. A visit on a human scale; we greatly appreciated the family aspect of this business, the Cognac Tiffon Supreme, and the Pineau des Charentes Braastad.

Very interesting visit with a highly competent guide. Additionally, there were only two of us, and it was great. We were not familiar with this brand of cognac.

A guided tour to Braastad Cognac is a worthy visit! Eric our guide is very knowledgeable with very good English and very friendly. It was a wonderful experience to learn how much detail and passion goes into the process of making this 6th generation family Cognac. I really enjoyed the tour. Highly recommended! Thank you for the experience.. Matilde

A wonderful visit, full of information and discoveries. A huge thank you to Erick, our guide, who was fantastic, very pleasant, and attentive. I would do it again when the distillery is in operation for an even stronger immersion. Alligator power!

Great visit to the brandy house! The building is beautiful, full of charm and history, we are immediately immersed in the atmosphere. Many thanks to our guide Eric, exciting, pedagogical and really enjoyable — he knew how to make the visit lively from start to finish. And finally, the tasting was just great, with some great discoveries. An experience I recommend without hesitation! Remember to consume with conscience.

Erik agreed to a private tour at five minutes notice. What a star! The tour was engaging and informative, and good value for money. Erik is the best tour guide ever! He was very funny and made it the highlight of our holiday. We are sooooo glad his neighbouring, well know, cognac house was shut. I am sure it would not have been so much fun. We had never heard of Braastard, but we will look out for it now. Their VS brandy with ginger ale was a revelation. And their pineau......superb! Can HIGHLY recommend a visit here. Thank you for a charming couple of hours Erik.

I didn’t know all this technicality necessary to make Cognac. The history of this economic and family heritage is captivating. And how beautiful it is installations that seem from another time! It was very rewarding with a guide with little care, dynamic and attentive. Thank you.

Very informative in English. Our guide was very personable. He didn’t hurry us through and encouraged questions and didn’t rush the tasting.

Excellent. David gave the personal touch to the whole afternoon so it didn't feel like we were just one of a crowd being pushed around.
