Step aboard a traditional wooden fishing boat that has been part of a local family for generations. Once owned by a legendary fisherman, a grandfather, his boat carries not just guests, but stories, memories, and the true spirit of the Adriatic.

This is not a typical tour. This is Dubrovnik as locals have lived it for decades. Experience Dubrovnik from the serene waters of the Adriatic on a traditional wooden fishing boat, steeped in local history. Cruise the stunning coastline accompanied by our local expert, marvel at the city's medieval walls, and explore hidden gems accessible only by sea.

Enjoy a swimming stop in crystal-clear waters, snorkel in peaceful spots, or simply savour a drink onboard while embracing the slow rhythm of local life. Enjoy traditional fishing practices, and with local guidance, this half-day tour promises an intimate and authentic connection to Dubrovnik's maritime culture.

Lovrjenac Fortress

As you glide along Dubrovnik’s western shoreline, a solitary fortress rises dramatically from the cliffs, Lovrijenac, standing guard above the Adriatic. Built to defend the city from the sea, this imposing stronghold has watched over Dubrovnik for centuries. From the water, its position feels almost unreal—perched high on rugged rock, with waves crashing far below and the city walls stretching out behind it. Often called Dubrovnik’s “Gibraltar,” Lovrijenac is a symbol of the city’s independence and resilience. Today, beyond its historic role, it has become a stage for culture and storytelling, most famously during the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. Passing beneath it by boat offers a powerful perspective—one that reveals both the strength and beauty of Dubrovnik, where history and landscape come together in a truly unforgettable way.

Such an enjoyable day. The boat was big enough for 5. Could have easily taken more (maybe 8). Captain knows all the good local spots, good on local history and challenges/opportunities in Dubrovnik. Really was a relaxing day on the water.

This boat tour is a MUST when you're in Dubrovnik. Ivan is a masterful host who will provide you with views and information you cannot get elsewhere. He grew up in Dubrovnik and is also very knowledgeable about the history and culture, a combination which guarantees an excellent experience. It was a very hot day and Ivan to us to a lovely, quiet cove to swim and even found delicious shell fish (kind of like oysters) for us to try. We had such a good time and highly recommend this.

Sunset tour on a traditional fishing leut in Dubrovnik is a truly unforgettable experience. As the golden light of the setting sun reflects off the Adriatic Sea, the atmosphere becomes calm, almost magical. The gentle sound of the waves and the slow, steady movement of the boat create a perfect escape from the busy city. What makes the experience even more special is the guide, Ivan. His knowledge of the local history, the sea, and traditional fishing culture brings the journey to life. He shares stories with genuine passion, making you feel connected to the place in a deeper way. Friendly, attentive, and professional, Ivan ensures that everyone feels welcome and relaxed throughout the trip. Overall, it’s a beautiful combination of nature, tradition, and storytelling—an authentic Dubrovnik experience that stays with you long after the sun has disappeared below the horizon.

  • Probably the best experience in Dubrovnik!

This was one of the best experiences in Dubrovnik! Being alone with our families friend group and the amazing Ivan guiding us through hidden coves and beaches accessible only by boat, away from crowds, it is a must for anyone spending even just 2 days in Dubrovnik. You can see most of the Old Town from the sea, and Ivan is a deep well of local tales, history, and facts. The boat is also surprisingly large and wide, and doesn't rock too much!

I can only recommend this tour with charming Ivan (speaking fluent different languages) - he is the best host we met in Croatia 🇭🇷 whenever returning to Dubrovnik - I am looking forward to this spectacular tour!!!!
