What To Expect

The large ballroom was redesigned in a neo-Gothic style in 1878 by the Graz architect, Georg Hauberisser, who also planned the interior of the new town hall in Munich. A circulating painting executed by 4 Munich artists impressively leads back to what was probably the most glorious time in Landshut. It shows the procession with bridal carriages during the Landshut wedding in 1475.

St. Martin's Church

St. Martin is the main church and landmark of Landshut. The late Gothic hall church with the highest brick tower (130.1 meters) in the world is one of the most important sacred buildings in southern Germany due to its dimensions and impressive spatial effect. This impressive church was built from 1389 to 1500.

Our guide Stefan was excellent and very knowledgeable! Kind and he was flexible. Stefan gave us the best tour and helped locate my Grandmother’s house in Landshut. Brought us to a local potter who was wonderful! We loved how he showed off Landshut which was my mothers family home town after WW2. Everything he did was interesting and personal!
