An enjoyable ride on a fast ferry from and back to Perth. The bus tour around the island was also good. Eli, our guide, was knowledgeable and funny. Our driver, Simon, did a great job not to run over any "unskilled" cyclists!! :=)) Just beware of cyclists everywhere whilst walking on the island. For those wanting to spend more time at various beaches and viewpoint on the island, they would be better off going on the hop-on/hop-off buses Or, hiring bicycles if feeling energetic.

The viator web site does not give the full options of the journey. When we wanted to get on the bus, the viator did not give us the earlier option, and when we wanted to return to Perth, the viator did not give us the option of the earlier return ferry. When we got to the ferry station, the options were there but were already booked out.

We caught the 9.30am ferry which takes just 30mins and then the tour bus doesn't leave until 11.20am giving you plenty of time to have a coffee etc. The tour itself is with full commentary and gives you lots of information about the Island. It is 90 mins long with one stop and you see most of the island. Well worth it!!

As advertised. A ferry ticket and a bus tour. However, be aware that the Quokka is a nocturnal animal that sleeps most of the day. Also be aware that Rottnest Island is a desert island that has beautiful beaches such that the scenery doesn’t change much.
