Racha Yai offers some of the best local year around dive-sites but the visibility varies as to the season. On the north end of the island are two beautiful little bays Homerun Bay and Siam Bay famous for their deep clear water and colorful coral formations. Both of them have almost swimming pool features as they gradually drop to a depth of 20-25 metres onto a sandy seabed, providing many opportunities for both snorkeling and scuba diving.
The best diving is off the east coast at Bay 1 to 5. The current allows a gentle drift dive along a sloping rocky face that is covered with an amazing array of hard corals and the nutrient rich water draws large schools of tropical fish. Around Racha Yai, some large rays have been seen. Leopard sharks and just recently Blacktip reef sharks have made an appearance again.

What To Expect
Scubadeep is aimed at providing you with the best experience of scuba diving in Phuket. We are able to tailor all requirements to fit and suit you exactly how you would require them to be. Our team would pick you up from your hotel at 7:15am and drop you at our Boat at Chalong Pier. We would also be dropping you off at your hotel once we have returned back from your diving trip. You can enjoy a very good breakfast buffet on board and we serve you with snacks and drinks throughout. Lunch buffet is also served with all dietary requests taken into account. If you wish to order a Vegetarian meal please contact Scubadeep’s staff when you board. Your day would consist of a total of 3 Dives carried out within a period of 8 hours with professional instructors and dive guides leading your dives and assisting you throughout You will be briefed by your instructor regarding the use of all diving equipments, dive sites, what you can expect from each dive location and all safety related matters.

My first ever Scuba session perfectly executed by Scubadeep

5.00I stumbled upon Scubadeep on my walk at Phuket beach. My fondness for water started two years back when I did surfing for the first time, which is when I started learning swimming too. Up until that night, I still couldn't swim properly but who doesn't want to do scuba diving, right? I met J at the Scubadeep office and he explained the entire details of the package and all the pre-requisites One such key thing was keeping an 18 hours gap between scuba dive and flight to maintain pressure differences. J also did accept our bargain of 8600 TBH for two! Thanks J, you're still a good German even if your agreed to our bargain! :p They arranged transport back & forth from the hotel to the pier. At the pier we met Chris, our instructor who instantly took charge of us. Chris was phenomenal. A great instructor but even a greater person. He was very clear with his instructions and patient with us. We did two dives with him where he took such a great care of us, made us feel so safe and when not diving, made us laugh a lot. The ship was good too. There were lot many other schools & students on it but we had our exclusive instructor who was with us all the time. The diving spots were also nice although, as a fist time diver I can't give really give verdict if this was the best or not but there were plenty of corals and fishes at each spots. We were also given option to do snorkeling before the end of the session. Overall, if you're looking to either get a great welcome experience to Scuba diving in Phuket or looking to do your 50th dive, Scubadeep is the place. Thanks to the Scubadeep team. See ya again.

5.00Had a wonderful day diving with Alex from Scubadeep. Alex and all the boat crew were very professional and helpful. The food on board was excellent. J and Namfon were also extremely friendly and helpful throughout the booking process. I highly recommend Scubadeep for anyone diving in Phuket!

5.00Just wanted to say, i have been coming to Thailand for 4 years and have done many many day tours, this is the most money i have ever spend on a single trip and it was TOTALLY worth every cent I have never scuba dived and neither has my partner Monique, we were both very anxious about it but i have to say Brem made today absolutely amazing, he had us comfortable and cruising through the water on our first dive, not only a great instructor but a genuinely really nice guy, thank you for a fantastic experience and a memorable day 10/10
Once in a lifetime experience. Must do! Excellent job by Scubadeep

5.00Was in Phuket last month, and decided to introduce my two sons to the magic of scuba diving. I usually stay at Chalong whenever I dive at Phuket, but since this was a family gig, we were put up at Patong. Saw quite a few excellent DSD reviews of Scubadeep, and decided to go with them. Could not have been more happy with my choice 😃 😃. Right from the time I called them multiple times to ask about the weather conditions, to organising the dive perfectly, J and Namfon were Rockstars. They even helped me book a nice hotel close to the dive shop. Was a tad apprehensive since it was a DSD for my two kids (14 & 16), but the instructor Brem (Also a wildly talented guy) put them at ease from the moment they were on the boat, and made sure their 3 dives went off without a hitch. So so recommend these guys for all those looking for a professional but chilled out dive experience, esp if its a DSD with kids. Thanks a ton Scubadeep!! PS: extra brownie points to J when I found out he owns a mean Classic Royal Enfield. Respect Brother!! 😎

5.00Just wanted to say thank you to the scubadeep team for an amazing few dives. Special thanks to Namfon and J for helping me out with the bookings and answering all my questions promptly and at anytime, and special thanks Yuan for being a great dive master, taking us around each dive safely, explain all we needed to know about the marine life and diving as well as taking photos and videos of us. The boat was probably the best dive boat I’ve ever been on too. Would highly recommend and definitely would love to come back.
