Discover Scuba diving (DSD) from the dive boat with additional snorkeling stop after
During your DSD, you learn how to use the equipment, followed by your first ocean dive from the dive boat. You spend your time underwater with your instructor and colorful tropical fish. After, add a second dive or just snorkel at the 2nd location. This is conducted in small groups of not more than 4 students per instructor. Please be sure to review the medical questionnaire to make sure you don't need to show a doctors note in order to participate.
Our boat is stocked with water, soft drinks, snacks and Rum punch after the diving/snorkeling. Do you have divers and snorkelers in the same group? No problem some of you can dive while others explore the ocean from the surface - snorkeling.

All guests must be able to swim
Minimum age 10 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Divers are advised to allow a minimum of 18 hours after diving before flying.
Non-certified divers (students & Discover Scuba Diving participants) will be required to complete a standard Diver Medical Questionnaire and are also advised to review ahead of time for any health conditions that may require a doctor's written pre-approval. If you are flagged to require a doctor approval when you do your DSD prep or waivers, you must have the form signed by a doctor and to us before your dive. Those who do not provide a doctor approval will be able to snorkel only.
IMPORTANT: Please note that as per the health questionnaire that will be part of your waiver,you will need a signed form from your doctor if any of the below are true. This does not necessarily mean you cannot dive. You will just need to get approval from your doctor to show us. Those whose answers are flagged for doctor approval but do not provide the approval ahead of time will be able to snorkel, but not dive.
-------If you have had surgery within the last 12 months, OR have ongoing problems related to past surgery, you will need to provide doctor approval.
-------if you select the answer that you are taking prescription medications (with the exception of birth control or anti-malarial drugs other than mefloquine (Lariam) you will need to provide doctor approval.
-------if you are over 45 AND are a smoker or have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, you will need to provide doctor approval.
-------if you have diabetes or had gestational diabetes within last 12 months, you will need to provide doctor approval.
-------if you have ear disease or recurring sinusitis, you will need to provide doctor approval.
-------if you have asthma, severe allergies, trouble breathing, or angina or other heart issues, you will need to provide doctor approval.

What To Expect
EVER WONDERED WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BREATHE UNDERWATER? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren't ready to plunge into a certification course, this is for you! **IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE there is a medical questionairre and if you are a smoker over 45, or take prescription medications, or have recent medical issue, you WILL need a signed form from your doctor. It does not mean you cannot dive, it just means we are not allowed to make decisions about your health.. Review the health information below before signing up. We meet you at our boat at Saga Haven Marina where your Instructor gives a short lesson and theory overview and you complete any paperwork. On the boat ride, your instructor will explain scuba equipment and hand signals. 1 instructor for a max of 4 divers. Then it's dive time! You'll see tropical fish, coral reef, and maybe even a turtle or a ray. The participants need to be able to pass a medical questionnaire and be able to swim. **Some medical answers require us to see a letter signed by your doctor.** After your dive you can enjoy snacks, water, and soft drinks, you can snorkel or upgrade your scuba experience, to do the second dive.

5.00We had such a great experience on the boat and in the water! The crew was so fun and we had so much fun with all of the other passengers. Dylan and Zach were awesome guides for us first-timers and made sure we were comfortable and safe diving. Captain David was THE BEST!! Overall it was just an amazing experience and we highly recommend it! If you can, definitely bring an underwater camera!

5.00We went with Dylan, Zach, Abby, Steph, and captain David. It was absolutely amazing. We saw a shark, lobster, fish and more. It was great and would recommend it to anyone! The rum was great too!

5.00Outstanding experience! Highly recommended. Boat, equipment and dive team were amazing. Discover scuba package was run perfectly, our diver Dylan was fantastic, took care to make sure everyone was comfortable in the water and maximized our time in the water. Steph took spectacular photos and video of our family. The boat had multiple groups aboard (snorkel, discover scuba and certified scuba) they made sure every group spent as much time in the water as possible. Capt Tom had a great plan for 2 dive locations which was awesome. They took us to great areas where there was a ton of sea life to view. If you are going to St. Thomas book with this team, you will not be disappointed!

5.00My daughter and I took the Discover Scuba Diving trip and it was amazing! Ben, Zach, Halle and Captain Tommy were fantastic. Neither of us had ever been scuba diving before, and the crew was extremely professional and made sure they took the time to teach us and make sure we had learned everything necessary to stay safe and have a great time!

5.00Okay, first review on Trip Advisor, though I use the platform a lot. I typically only write reviews when I have serious issues with an establishment, that isn’t the case today and I’m copy/pasting this review everywhere. If you are looking to dive or do a discover scuba course, this is the spot. Went out with Capt Tommy, Ben, and Lewis. Lewis was our dive instructor, Capt. Tommy drove the boat and Ben was working a certification with another group. All three were absolutely phenomenal. I cannot express just how patient Lewis was with the members of my group. He took his time to make sure we understood everything, didn’t make us feel rushed, and didn’t have even a hint of frustration while he worked with us. Seriously, I don’t know how much Lewis is getting paid, but pay him more. After going through the skills, we had a fantastic time under water, even doing the additional dive after the intro. The crew can’t count for the sea life, but they did a great job of looking out for different sea life and communicating what they saw to our group as well as between Ben and Lewis to make sure everyone had a great time and got to see all the crittters. The guys were all extremely knowledgeable on the area, the different islands, and dive spots. They even gave us a few local recommendations that panned out spectacularly. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Definitely worth every dime and then some.

5.00Super friendly instructors, great boat and top notch equipment made for a perfect day! Highly recommend this for anyone who would like to try scuba diving! We did a private half day charter- some snorkeled, some did discover scuba and others did open water scuba. It was fantastic!

5.00My husband and I booked the discovery scuba diving session with Aqua Marine Dive Center. The boat was clean and the team was very professional. Lewis was our scuba guide for the afternoon. He was very informative and clear in his instructions. We had no problems learning the basics to complete the dive. An d he was such a nice guy which was a huge bonus. We had tons of fun. I would absolutely go again and dive with Lewis and the team at Aqua Marine!
