Loma de Tiscapa
At Tiscapa Hill, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the city of Managua, Lake Xolotlán, and the silhouette of the Momotombo Volcano in the background. You’ll learn about the history of Somoza’s former bunker, the site’s importance during the revolution, and see up close the iconic silhouette of Sandino. The panoramic photos here are simply incredible!

Santiago of Managua Cathedral * This is an old cathedral severely damaged in an earthquake, preserved as a historical site. You can visit its Gothic exterior and interior ruins to experience its rich history. National Palace of Culture (Palacio Nacional) * An iconic historical building near the cathedral, formerly the seat of government, witnessing many important moments in Nicaragua's history. Teatro Nacional Rubén Darío (Teatro Nacional Rubén Darío) Named after the famous Nicaraguan poet Rubén Darío, it is the country's most important cultural and performing arts center. The building itself is also very distinctive. Lake Managua * A large lake on the west side of the city, offering views of the Momotombo volcano. • Half-day itinerary: Suitable as the last stop of a half-day tour, overlooking the lake, Visiting all the important sites in Managua, the guide was a very meticulous and kind person who taught me a lot of Spanish. He was a very trustworthy person, and I learned a lot about history from him during the half-day trip.

5.00Elias is a great tour guide. I recommend this afternoon tour if your in Managua or connecting to other cities. You can see the culture and history of Managua and Nicaragua in a couple of hours.. We ended the tour with a great traditional meal.

5.00The tour guide, Eliot, really knows the best spots to see. He was very responsive to my interests, very knowledgeable, and pleasant. I enjoyed seeing the city attractions and his explanations were very interesting. Also, he took me to a supermarket where I was able to get some things I needed. He made great recommendations for food places.

5.00We arrived at Managua airport and Elias was great. He sent me messages before the trip and day of , to plan and after private pickup he started the tour. We went to the local markets first. It was great to see what local products are We bought some items and then went to the lookout point. Beautiful and saw all of Managua from one end to the the other. The lake was beautiful and we could see it all. Then we went to the Revolution Square and saw the nice grounds. Also saw the cathedral which looked amazing even after the earthquake. Elias narrated and explained history and significance of each site. We had the whole area ro ourselves. We loved the large wonderful metallic trees and the many monuments. The parks we were kept and lots of vibrant plants trees and flowers. Then Elias took us to a very good local restaurants where we had wonderful local Nicaraguan food. After quick lunch , We went to the Malecón , and passed many interesting areas. This waterfront had shops , play areas for kids, miniature models of the Revolutionary Square , Etc. what a great place to walk and stroll. Elias was very flexible and the Tour was tailored to whatever you want to do. You can see more of one place or less. Finally. , after 3.5 hrs , We had to leave. Elias gave us a private transfer himself and drove us to the city of Grenada. Great drive and safe driver . He helped with luggage and we finally had to say farewell. My wife and I highly recommend Elias as your personal tour guide and driver. And he can custom make any tour just for you. 🫵🏻 seven stars !!!! 😀😀💪🏻🩷

5.00Had a tour with Elias and I couldn’t be any better. He is a great guy, very knowledgeable and curious. He showed the best spots in Managua, listened to my needs, and in general we had a great time. The huge advantage is that the pick up is available from the airport and there is an air conditioner in the car (which is great because there were really hot outside). Thank you Elias for a great tour!
