You will visit the handicraft area of the Roberto Huembes Market, a place full of color, tradition, and Nicaraguan culture. Here, you can see and purchase hammocks, ceramics, hand-painted artwork, traditional textiles, and many unique souvenirs. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support local artisans and take a piece of Nicaragua home with you.
Loma de Tiscapa
At Tiscapa Hill, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the city of Managua, Lake Xolotlán, and the silhouette of the Momotombo Volcano in the background. You’ll learn about the history of Somoza’s former bunker, the site’s importance during the revolution, and see up close the iconic silhouette of Sandino. The panoramic photos here are simply incredible!

5.00I really enjoyed the “Discover the Best of Managua” private city tour. It was a great way to see the highlights of the city in a comfortable and relaxed setting. My guide, Elias, was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He answered all of my questions and shared helpful insights about Managua’s history and culture, which made the experience even more interesting. Overall, a very well-organized tour and a great experience. I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you get Elias as your guide!

5.00My husband and I went on a tour with Eliot and had great experience! Eliot was an excellent guide. Super friendly, very informative and helpful—great communication as well. Highlights for us were the market, the old cathedral and getting to sample the local cuisine. He even taught us some Spanish which was a nice bonus. We had a lot of fun! Five stars for Eliot.

5.00We just had a great tour with Elias. A very good, knowledgeable and polite guy. We went to nice places as one of the local markets, old and new cathedrals, best view point of the city at Loma de Tiscapa and Malecon as well. Managua is a great city !

5.00We had an excellent city tour in Managua with our guide Eliot. He was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Nicaragua. The tour was well organized and we visited important landmarks such as the Old Cathedral of Managua, the National Palace, Tiscapa Lookout Point, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and Puerto Salvador Allende. Eliot explained everything clearly and made the experience very enjoyable and interesting. He also gave us great recommendations about local food and other places to visit. I felt very comfortable and safe during the entire tour. I highly recommend this tour, especially for first-time visitors to Managua.
