Castelul Corvinilor
Our first stop will be at Corvin Castle, probably the most amazing gothic castle in Eastern Europe where we'll be talking about the history of Transylvania and who built this beautiful fort.
Cetatea Alba Iulia
Next we will be visiting the place where the unification of Romania was signed back in 1918, Alba Iulia. The Old Town is simply stunning, as it is basically within a star shaped fortress so there so much to discover!
Alba Iulia - Brasov

Salina Turda
Turda Salt Mine will simply leave you speechless. One of the most amazing underground places in Europe is right here in the heart of Transylvania where we'll be 120m underground ( 360 feet ). Don't worry, it's a huge space and you won't feel claustrophobic
Sighisoara
Sighisoara will surely amaze you with its beautiful colorful houses and with its interesting history. We'll explore the Old Town and get to see one of the last inhabited medieval forts in Europe.
Viscri Fortified Church
After exploring Sighisoara we will stop to visit another UNESCO site in Viscri, the place where King Charles of England has a house and comes to visit every year. Here we will discover the fortified church inside and out and get the change to go up the main tower!
Brasov Historical Center
Before hitting the hay we will be doing a walking tour of Brasov's Old Town which many consider to be one of the most impressive in Transylvania. During the tour we'll get to visit the Black Church, the largest gothic church in Romania.
Brasov - Timisoara

Bran Castle
Early in the morning before the crowds come we will go see Dracula's castle, the most famous tourist spot in Romania! We'll see who built it and why and talk about Bram Stoker's novel who made this spot so popular!
Carta Monastery
One of the least know but truly interesting places in Romania is Carta Abbey. The easternmost Cistercian abbey in the Europe is a must while driving from Brasov to Sibiu.
Sibiu
Sibiu is a must when visiting Transylvania. We will be exploring its old town and walk up the council tower for the best view of the main square and of the surrounding area.
Timisoara - Budapest

Timisoara Historical Center
On our last day we will be exploring the Old Town of Timisoara, European Capital of Culture in 2023 and learn about what happened in 1989 as this is the place where the revolution against the communist regime started!
Budapest

5.00One of the best trips of my entire life. Sergiu was extraordinary—knowledgeable on so many aspects with an incredible grasp of history of the region. He brought places to life and knew some hidden spots that made the tour special. He handled every detail so I never worried about traveling solo and even patiently taught Romanian phrases along the way! Hotels were excellent, breakfast and everything else I ate was wonderful, and the itinerary has all your bucket list items. Don’t be afraid to go off season, it was magical—Christmas markets, winter wonderland on full display and the best sites like the salt mine and Bran Castle without crowds. If you’re looking at tours from Budapest, pick this one.
A perfect way to experience all the incredible sites of Romania.

5.00This is a really fantastic trip! You see beautiful, historic towns, amazing castles, palaces, fortified churches, and a lot of Romanian countryside. Sergiu picked the restaurants and they were all authentic and the food was fantastic. We didn't expect to love the food as much as we did but we're making it for friends tomorrow night (based on Sergio's grandmother's recipe...) They also know the best hotels and places to stop along the way so you get a unique and memorable experience. Sergiu was our guide and he was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Romania, each town and castle, and the amazing history of the country. He was also a great guy and we all enjoyed being with him for the whole trip. I can't remember all the languages he speaks (many!) but his English was perfect so that made it really easy for us. It's likely he speaks your language as well! You can customize your trip to suit your needs and interests as well, which makes it all the better. We had chosen a few places initially and Sergiu worked them into the trip and added so many that we would have never known about. Pickup and drop-off in Budapest is incredibly convenient. The trains in Romania are very slow and the road network is confusing. It's great to have someone else manage all the logistics so you can just enjoy the scenery. Everyone in our family enjoyed the trip and would recommend it to other families or groups.
