Caroline really brought to life the very interesting history of Victor Harbor on her well-paced and enjoyable walking tour. Asides from being geographically blessed, the town has evolved through hard work and determination and it’s so worthwhile taking the time to familiarise yourself with how it developed. We’d thoroughly recommend spending time with Caroline to get to know it! Her communication prior to the tour was also excellent.

Our guide was most certainly well organised and friendly but lacked confidence and skills in managing a tour group, I felt. It's quite a skillset that involves public speaking and an extensive knowledge of local facts and stories that need to be woven into an interesting narrative. I do realise everyone has a different style in taking tours but I'm sorry to say I was bored and felt I could have done just as well by wandering around hte town myself.

Marilyn was very knowledgeable and friendly. She worked hard to impart the historical significance of the area along with the more current trends. It was easy to see she is invested in the community and enjoys being here which are always helpful attitudes from local guide. Appreciated her time and efforts and would recommend

Caroline was a great guide. She had so many interesting stories of Victor Harbor’s past. I’ve been a frequent visitor to Victor Harbor for years, and I even worked there for a few months. Then I did the tour and discovered so much more, and now I have a better appreciation of how Victor Harbor became what it is today. I would highly recommend this walking tour.

My sister and I had the perfect family time experience on a walk around the centre of Victor, starting from near the causeway. Our guide was very informative about the history of the area and as we came upon different landmarks she would relate to us what she knew about it. This was all very interesting and we learnt much as we walked along. It was also a great opportunity for me to snap photos along the way. It was a lovely day with perfect weather. Would highly recommend doing it and adding it to your list of experiences! Take a group of friends or family and enjoy some time together. It was great value for the cost. We also had opportunity for rest stops along the way- seats, and toilets were along it as well. Water , hat, sunnies ,sneakers, camera and off you go….😊 Thankyou Caroline 👍🏻

It’s obvious that Caroline loves her hometown of Victor Harbor - she is very enthusiastic about its natural beauty, history and development as a tourist destination. After meeting at the Granite Island Causeway we had time to enjoy the stunning scenery while she gave details about the wildlife of the area. Then we enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the older parts of town as Caroline pointed out heritage-listed buildings and told interesting anecdotes about the people who founded the area. This is highly recommended for those who want to have an enjoyable walk while discovering fascinating snippets of info about a scenic township. It’s an essential tour for visitors to the region, but I think locals would be surprised at how much they could learn.
