Piazza del Duomo
Wonderful example of a square converted in Baroque style, it opens before us like a wing of a theater, on the left the wonderful late 17th century bell tower built by Giuseppe Zimbalo stands out over the square with its majolica dome; in the center the Cathedral with its façade characterized by a balustrade overlooked by the statue of the protector of the city, Sant'Oronzo, and adorned with flowers, angels and lanceolate points, a sublime example of fanzaghesco baroque; the Episcopio with the portico in propylaea, an admirable work by Emanuele Manieri; on the right the Palazzo del Seminario with its rustication and its eclectic baroque, the work of Giuseppe Cino. (Visit outside)
Teatro Romano di Lecce
We will admire the view on the ancient Roman Theater, from the Augustan age, which over the centuries had been buried only to be unveiled by an excavation carried out in the 19th century, an evocative place surrounded by the Baroque gardens that frame the open spaces of the terraces, the orchestra, of the proscenium. Lorenzo was just a fantastic guide for a thorough introduction to Lecce and its history, the main areas, and important buildings. Took the time to speak to all members of the tour. A relaxing and interesting tour. There was also an added bonus of a stop at 00 Doppiozero for some cake, and Iced Sweet Almond Coffee (Caffé Leccese). A very personable guide. Thoroughly recommend this tour with Lorenzo

We visited Lecce with our guide Lorenzo de Robertis. Perfectly proficient in English, passionate and exciting he walked us, nearly 3 hours (more than expected but passion prevailed over "financial calculation") in this city full of history with humor and mastery of the city and its social and cultural history. To consume without moderation; time passed very quickly and left for once a little less "silly"!!!! Thank you Lorenzo Michel Tirard

A lovely trip in Lecce with Lorenzo as a guide. He told many interesting things about the city and its architecture that one would not discover. We got cafe leccese and a local specialty at cafe Doppiozero - a lovely place where we later had dinner. A fantastic tour with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide.

In the pouring rain, Lorenzo offered to postpone but braved the elements to guide us anyway. Interesting stories of medieval Catholicism, the development of architecture in Lecce, Roman archeology and a lovely brunch break. An enjoyable walking tour.
