Unforgettable Day in the Aeolian Islands!!!

5.00Our family of 4 just returned from a magical Italian holiday. The highlight of which was a trip to the Aeolian Islands, just a short ferry ride from Northeastern Sicily. By far the best experience was the private boat tour of the Islands with Eoliana Private Boat tours with our incredible skipper, Emanuela! We climbed aboard her boat in Santa Marina on the Island of Salina in the morning. We were warmly welcomed, reviewed the itinerary and set sail into the azure and crystal-clear water. We sailed past the south of Salina and then across to Lipari with Vulcano off in the distance. Emanuela provided interesting commentary on the Island names (Salina named by the Romans for the saline water found there), the volcanic rock formations and geology. First stop was a secluded are near the cliffs with clear water and abundant marine life. The water depth was 15-20 feet and perfectly calm. We swam and snorkeled for about 45 minutes exhilarated by the cool water and biodiversity. Back on board, Emanuela had prepared delicious bruschetta for us with tomatoes from her own garden as well as other traditional Sicilian snacks. She offered us prosecco and other drinks. We sailed past the famous rock formations of the Faraglioni of Lipari, the remnants of volcanic structures mentioned in Homer’s Odessey. Christopher Nolan had been there a few months earlier filming his own epic version of the Homeric tale. We also swam at the Lover’s Grotto, with amazing turquoise water. She told us about the legend that couples who kiss inside will stay together always! Next stop was the harbor on Lipari for lunch at a local restaurant Emanuela recommended. Amazing pizza and legendary granita. After 60-75 minutes we were off again to another unique and gorgeous swimming spot. Emanuela recounted the many visitors she had brought to this spot who had planned marriage proposals at sunset!! We found the boat trip so relaxing, as we were lulled by the ocean, sun and good food. Emanuela was a wonderful host and answered our many questions about life on the Islands. As our tour was ending, she graciously took photos of our family to memorialize an incredible day that we will cherish for years to come. Emanuela is a warm and gracious host. An experienced boat captain who lives on Lipari. We highly recommend her tours as a memorable and immersive way to see and experience the Aeolian Islands!!! The Los Angeles crew

5.00This was the best excursion ever. Cannot recommend highly enough! Emanuela is just lovely and so informative. Her boat is pristine and beautiful. Emanuela took us to multiple swim stops with snorkeling. The lunch on board of bruschetta was made by Emanuela's mother in law and I'm still thinking about it! I have done boat tours in the past but nothing like this! Fantastic and perfect for creating wonderful memories. Thank you so much Emanuela! I will never forget your kindness and hospitality. 100 stars!

5.00The most amazing 7 hours at sea ever! Emanuela went above and beyond to make sure we had the experience we preferred. She constantly checked the weather in the days leading up to the tour and then the day of the tour she was prompt and ready to go as soon as we were. We got to see the beauty of The Aeolian Islands as well as swimming in the most gorgeous water you have ever seen. The food and drink was also over the top. Delicious bruschetta, caper berries, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, fruit, bread, crackers, prosecco and water. We also had time for a stop in Salina for some shopping and granita. I can not recommend this trip enough. Everything was truly 5 stars.

5.00We had the absolute pleasure of taking a private boat tour around the island of Lipari aboard the Eoliana with the wonderful hosts Emanuela and her husband Sylvester – and it turned out to be the highlight of our entire vacation! We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and Emanuela went above and beyond to make it truly unforgettable. To our delight, she surprised him with the most delicious homemade birthday cake – a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that perfectly captured the warmth and hospitality we experienced all day. From start to finish, the tour was magical. The food alone deserves its own review – all homemade, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavor. We feasted on bruschetta, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, fresh bread, juicy fruit, and sipped on local wine as we sailed through the stunning waters of the Aeolian Islands. Every bite was a taste of Sicilian love and tradition. Emanuela is not only an amazing cook and host but also incredibly knowledgeable about the area. She shared fascinating insights about the island's history, culture, and geology, making the experience even more enriching. We made a beautiful stop in Salina, explored hidden coves, and went snorkeling in crystal-clear, turquoise water – absolutely breathtaking. This wasn’t just a boat tour; it was a day filled with beauty, connection, and genuine joy. If you're visiting Lipari, booking a trip with Emanuela and Sylvester on Eoliana is an absolute must. We cannot recommend it enough – it’s something we’ll treasure forever!

5.00We had a long journey to get to and from Lipari but it was definitely worth it and I couldn't imagine a better way to experience the islands. Emanuela was friendly and knowledgeable and took us to all the best spots for swimming and snorkelling. 100% recommend this trip you won't be disappointed.

5.00My wife and I spent a wonderful day with Eolianao circling the island of Lipari. She was a fantastic host, accommodating and attentive. To start, she was so easy to communicate with as we prepared for the trip. On the boat she kept a perfect mix of pointing out details of what we were seeing, taking us to great swimming coves and giving us our space as we were soaking it in. And she has everything on board to make the tour delightful, wine, fruit, snorkeling equipment and then laid out a spread of homemade, fresh snacks. We cannot emphasize enough how much we would recommend her and her tour.

5.00Our tour was wonderful. Our captain was very friendly and skilled. The boat is beautiful and well kept. We have taken a number of boat tours in the Aolean islands, and this is by far the nicest one. What a delightful and relaxing way to enjoy the beautiful geography and scenery of southern Italy.

5.00The day spent with Emanuela was magical. The trip was all about the journey. Emanuela greeted us at the dock with a fruit breakfast on board. As we sailed along the coastline, we stopped for swim breaks and homemade snacks. Emanuela pointed out and explained highlights along the coastline. Her vintage boat was beautifully maintained and comfortable. We can’t wait to go back next year and book a different trip.
