Discover the rich cultures and flavours of Valencia. The journey starts with a brief drive into the charming La Huerta region - Valencia's verdant agricultural heartland, with its ancient Moorish irrigation systems and traditional farmhouses. Discover the origins of Valencia's renowned horchata - a refreshing, sweet drink made from tiger nuts. Sip on this delightful drink at a traditional horchateria in Alboraya, the birthplace of horchata, complemented by fresh pastry fingers.
Then, a 40 minute drive into the mountains to visit some iconic rock cliffs. Stand on top of the 600 m cliffs with views of the National Park mountains , Mediterranean sea and Valencia city. Sit, relax and take some special photos. Then take a short and easy mountain walk for 20 mins through the pine forests before lunch.
Lunch is in a very local restaurant. They cook their paellas in the traditional way, using open wood fires to give it the authentic taste.
After lunch you will be taken back to the city.

5.00We had an incredible half-day exploring beyond the city with our guide, Kevin. The experience started with a stop at a local horchata spot — not the touristy kind, but an authentic place. It was a refreshing way to start the excursion. From there, we headed into the mountains for a light hike that offered absolutely stunning panoramic views. Kevin was knowledgeable, easygoing, and shared interesting stories that made the journey even more enjoyable. To top it all off, we ended with a delicious paella lunch at a seaside restaurant. The setting was perfect — ocean breeze and relaxed vibes. This experience was an excellent balance of nature, culture, and cuisine. Highly recommend if you're looking to get off the beaten path and outside the city.

5.00Kevin was amazing. I had issues with my internet which caused me to be late since I couldn’t communicate with him. And he waited for me until I was able to message him back. The tour itself was really nice and I was able to see really beautiful right the outside of Valencia. If you want to plan a day to get out of the city and see something different, this is it. After the tour you get to go to a restaurant right in front of the beach. And the food is amazing. Kevin also offers different types of tours, which is a plus. Thank you once again! I had a blast!

5.00Fantastic paella, in typical Spanish restaurant in village in the mountains, inland from Valencia, with locals. Not another tourist in sight!! The two short hikes we completed, through beautiful forests gave us spectacular views across rocky mountains to the coastal plain with Valencia and Sagunto in the distance. Easy route for the 5 and 7 year olds with us. A beautiful drive out of Valencia along stunning, good quality mountain roads. Kevin, our driver and guide was entertaining, knowledgeable and spoke Spanish fluently, making the whole experience a joy and one I would not hesitate to recommend and do again.

5.00Love Valencia, now I love the country side and villages around it too. Mountain views were pretty Awesome, and eating at an Authentic local place was great. Loved chilling with food and wine. My Partner and I have been to Valencia many times and love it, but we have never gone further than the city or the beech. So when we randomly met someone who recommended Different Valencia I managed to get a date booked as a surprise for my partner. This was GREAT. The highlight was seeing that the area around Valencia is so beautiful too. The whole day was a bit of a Highlight. Our tour guide, Kevin, was English and has lived in Valencia for years and seems to have found some real Gems. He was very friendly and happy to take the trip at our pace. (Quick on the ups, take our time at the views and meal) Now we know about Discovering Valencia we have agreed to do the Canyon Trail next time. Can not wait to go back.

5.00We had an amazing day out. The trip into the horchata fields was interesting as I had heard a lot about the horchata drink. Its like a milky and nutty cold drink. The drive up the mountain was cool and then the views over the sea and seeing Valencia from a distance was awesome. And then paella lunch in a mountain restaurant. Best paella we have had in Spain. Thanks Kevin for making it so much fun for us, you are a little star!

5.00The four of us (two adults, two kids) had an excellent day with Kevin, who proved to be a charming guide. Very easy-going and pleasant. The walk was long enough to see some wonderful views but short enough for our youngest (3 years) to manage. The restaurant was a great choice; sunny terraza, delicious traditional Valencian paella and tasty desserts afterwards. After being here a few days, it really made a great change to see some of the surrounding countryside and add something special to our short break. Thanks, Kevin!
