Seventy-Five Mile Beach
Experience the excitement of the worlds best beach drive in one of our purpose built “Warrior” 4WD vehicles. Specially designed and engineered for our day tours, they are simply the toughest and most comfortable 4WD on Fraser. Once on Fraser Island, we travel along the spectacular Seventy Five Mile Beach to explore the natural beauty of this magnificent wilderness. Take in the ancient rain forest of the island with a stunning walk through towering Satinay and Brushbox trees. Keep an eye out for native wildlife as you wander.
Lake McKenzie
On to the beautiful freshwater Lake McKenzie where you can spend an hour relaxing, swimming and enjoying the scenery. Enjoy an authentic Aussie lunch tops off a perfect day of discovery on the World’s largest sand island! Return through more towering forests and navigate your way down the ‘sandy highway’ before returning to Noosa in the evening.

4.00We had a lovely day. Weather was outstanding. Our guide, Paul, was fun and knowledgeable. They took excellent care with my celiac request for a special diet. The tides were unusually high, which meant our schedule had to be adjusted. As much as we loved the two major excursions (Lake McKenzie and Eli Creek) it felt like more driving than anything else. This isn’t anyone’s fault. It’s a big place. But day trippers should be aware that there is a lot of driving. And bring your own tubes to Eli Creek if you want to tube it rather than just walk down the creek.
Disappointed and over priced for what was provided.

2.00Tour operator arrived 35 minutes late without a reasonable explanation. One of the two major activities had very minimal time allocation and they didn’t provide the equipment required for the experience - no floaties for Eli Creek. Food was extremely basic.

5.00We had one of our most memorable days in Queensland today with Discovery K'Gari. Our guide, Paul, drove us deftly along the sprawling seashore of K'gari to show us Maheno Shipwreck, Eli Creek, Lake McKenzie, Central Station, and Wanggoolba Creek. We were given sufficient time to explore these precincts at our own pace. Paul filled us in cheerfully with the historical/ geological details of each place and familiarized us with the island's flora fauna. With his eager help we spotted dingoes, a python, and even a few playful dolphins right before boarding thr barge to Inskip. Our snacks and lunch were precisely taken care of with the dietary requirements we provided earlier. The drive on sand was rough but Paul's expertise and care definitely made it much smoother for us. Overall, we've been delighted with this day-trip and would recommend anybody to explore K'gari with Discovery K'gari.

5.00Paul was knowledgable and knew what he was talking about. The trip did involve a lot of driving but Paul made sure that we were fed and had plenty of toilet stops. Paul overall was very friendly and easy to talk too and made the trip enjoyable. The only downside was felt a bit rushed but this was due to having to go to go a different route on the island due to high tide so no fault of the tour.

4.00A must do tour as so unique. Wasn't prepared for quite so much driving, but all an amazing experience. Driving route depends upon the tide level & depth & quality of sand at the time so we travelled inland in the morning but along the beach to return to the ferry - that latter part was awesome! Would have liked more time at Lake Mackenzie which is just incredible.

2.00Overall, the tour was quite enjoyable, with beautiful scenery and locations, and the driver and guide were very friendly and open with the passengers. However, we spent quite a bit of time on the bus and the periods to enjoy the lake or the beach were very short. In addition, they do not send a reference photo of the bus and the specifications on the app are not entirely clear when waiting for the bus to start the tour, so I was not sure which bus to take, as there were several companies offering the same tour. When booking on the website, they ask if you have any preferences for the lunch and snacks offered on the tour, so I specified that I was vegetarian, but they didn't send me any vegetarian options and I couldn't have lunch, only snacks. I think the website needs a little more information and clarification about the itinerary.
