The Furon gorges, framed by steep limestone cliffs, were shaped by the torrent which now flows at the bottom of the gorges. Through the diversity of its passages, the beauty of the sculpted limestone and the forest that surrounds the Furon, the gorges have become over the years, a must-see canyoning spot in the region. Discover a mineral universe and power while facing the forces of nature. The descent of the lower part of Écouges is aquatic and fun, but is nonetheless accessible to all. This canyoning is the best activity par excellence around Grenoble. It is the perfect reflection of the activity thanks to the many jumps, slides (ejectable) and abseils it includes.

What To Expect

Canyoning is an activity that has developed relatively recently. Canyoning could be summarized as the fact of descending into the bed of a steep-sided river, overcoming obstacles with different techniques (Jumps, natural slides, zip line and abseils etc.). The unmissable classic discovery, the Haut Furon canyon is the most fun descent close to Grenoble. A maximum of games for a maximum of sensations. It is nevertheless accessible to all. The start is open after a first collection, it allows you to play with large blocks placed in the bed of the river. The further you go, the more the canyon collapses and becomes aquatic. The final will not leave you indifferent and you will spend most of your time in the transparent water of the natural pools of this canyon. It will be a great discovery.

The organizer cancelled us the day before. We then did it through another organizer (vertico) who is not with TripAdvisor. The tour itself is highly recommended.

Cedric our guide was amazing. We are a family of four with differing skill and bravery levels, Cedric catered for all us equally. Could not recommend him or the activity more highly.

Great day spent with the Vertical Way team! Cedric the instructor made us have an amazing time in a great spot. He was able to motivate us, reassure us and make us laugh. The Furon Haut course is very diverse with jumps, rappelling, slides, swimming moments and a nice walk to finish. ON TOP! To do again very quickly

Great trip, with a lot of challenge. Extra pluses: due to illness we could reschedule the date. Two people in our group had to cancel due to illness. At the point of departure the guide reported that there were new participants and we did not have to pay 50% of the cost. TOP!
