DMZ
After pickup at your Seoul hotel in the morning or afternoon, drive to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). En route, your guide shares expert commentary on the dividing line between North and South Korea. Get out at Imjingak Park along the banks of Imjin River to see artillery and war artifacts that were used during the Korean conflict before proceeding to Freedom bridge, where nearly 13,000 Korean POWs crossed on their return back home to South Korea. Reboard the coach and head to the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, located beneath the border of North Korea and South Korea. See where the South Koreans have blocked the actual Military Demarcation Line with concrete barricades, and browse photographs and war artifacts at the DMZ exhibition hall. Your next stop is Dora Observatory, where you can use binoculars to get a glimpse of North Korea. Listen to your guide explain daily life in the village of Kijongdong across the river. Continue by coach to Dorasan Station, a historic spot that not only marks the division, but also serves as a gateway for exchanges between the north and south. Pass by the Unification Village, a small farming community that specialized in creating soybean milk, traditional soy sauce and corn goods.

AJ from Seoul city tours was super!! Great energy and banter, and I have a high bar for both. She was super clear in telling us about the history and what it means, and answered all of our questions. The tunnel - bad. Defector speaking / view of NK - both worth it

Just got back from a DMZ tour from Seoul and it was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had in Korea. The entire trip was well organized, informative, and smoothly run from start to finish. Our guide, Katie, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and significance of the DMZ. She explained everything in a way that was easy to understand while still being very detailed, and she kept the group moving efficiently without ever making it feel rushed. Visiting the DMZ itself was surreal and eye-opening, and having a great guide like Katie made all the difference in understanding the context behind what we were seeing. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seoul—definitely a must-do experience, and if you can get Katie as your guide, even better! -Corey Y

Katie from Seoul City Tour provided a fantastic experience for my mum and I. Coming from Australia, we did not have a lot of knowledge about the history of and current relationship between North and South Korea. Katie’s knowledge was impeccable, I learnt far more than I expected and she truly put all her effort into ensuring each and every one of our tour group had a great experience. I would absolutely recommend both her and the company to any person, tourist or local interested in a DMZ tour. I would happily return again in the future! Especially if it meant having Katie be my guide again. 10/10 experience, worth every penny! Amelia F & Suzanne F.

You wouldn’t necessarily think the DMZ tour would be “fun” but Katie made it the best tour. She provided a lot of bit-sized pieces of information throughout the tour. She had great energy and enthusiasm, always letting us know the plan and available to help out. Highly recommend this tour. I learned so much and had a great time.

We toured with Katie from Seoul city tour. She is a very energetic and kind guide who was very thorough with her explainations and descriptions of the DMZ. She was very supportive especially when we traveled down the 3rd tunnel onderground. Making sure everyone was okay to go and helping those who needed an extra hand. - S.
