Doi Suthep

Doi Suthep Temple nicknamed after its mountain home is known for its spectacular views. While the 306-staircase may seem daunting for some travelers, the unrivaled view at the top is well worth the exercise. See the Doi Suthep sunrise light up the sky with a rainbow of golden hues as you document this experience in Chiang Mai with a few photos.

Phra Kruba Srivichai Shrine (Inside Muang On Cave)

After the Doi Suthep Sunrise Tour, we’ll visit the large golden Kruba Srivichai Monument, named after the Thai Buddhist monk (who was also an engineer) who built many temples and roads during the late 80s and early 90s.

Had a great experience with James, him and the driver were both very friendly and welcoming. His guidance was educational and entertaining. The views at the top of Doi Suthep were beautiful despite not being able to see the sunset due to the clouds/fog.

We did this tour with our guide Boon, and it was a brilliant way to spend a morning. Despite the early start and cloudy weather, it was so interesting and informative learning about the temples, Buddhism and history in some very peaceful and beautiful areas. Brilliant tour.

This was a very special experience getting to witness the sunrise over Chiang Mai and participate in the monk's morning rituals. James was an amazing guide! As an ex-monk his passion and enthusiasm for the tour really came through and he had a lot of insight into the experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I had Tim as a guide who was incredibly knowledgeable yet efficient and incredibly friendly. We were the first at Doi Suthep to see the sunrise which was incredible to witness. I’d highly recommend this tour and Tim in particular as your guide if possible!
