This 2-hour introductory paddle on the Edge of America will get you into the basics of kayaking, all in the calm flatwater of the Folly River. All safaris begin with "ground school" or kayak instructions with your Lifeguard Certified Instructors. We'll explore alongside the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins. We'll go with the flow, following the tides and wind direction for a great beginning paddle.
Group photo is taken at the end of the tour, which will be posted on our social media pages.

What To Expect
Once you book your tour, see the confirmation e-mail and sign out the liability waiver prior to arrival. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of your tour at 83 Center Street, Folly Beach. The guides will have all of the gear set up and ready to go. Kayaks, paddles, life jackets are provided, please bring flip flops or water shoes (required), water, sunscreen, and bathing suits. At the shop, we have all the essentials available to purchase, such as sunscreen, crookies, hats and shirts. From there, the guide will walk you down to the water and there will be a 15 minute ground school. Then, once in the water, you will be learning about the local estuary and ecosystem, looking for wildlife such as dolphins and different species of birds. These tours are great for an out of town visitors looking for something fun out on the water, or locals that want to splash around under the sun. Please call or e-mail for any further questions.

5.00Our guide Prudence was awesome and John took great care of us while getting the excursion booked. Our family of 6, young adults aged 17-22 and my wife and I had a fantastic time. Only down side was it wound up being a cooler day and low tide, so we dint see dolphins. Prudence still gave us a great tour and lots of interesting information.

5.00What an absolutely amazing time! Our guide was so knowledgeable and although I had never used a kayak before, I felt totally at ease after his instructions on land. We saw 2 dolphins, which was the highlight of our trip and we are so grateful we took the time to book this 6:15pm kayak tour! You won’t regret booking it either! So fantastic!! My daughter and I will be talking about this for years. When you live in a state (WI) where you will never see a dolphin in the water, this was truly magical!

Our tour was lead by a older woman who used to work in the medical field at the beginning I was a bit skeptical but she was amazing she took us on a amazing tour where we encountered several dolphins and a huge sea turtle not only was her knowledge incredible but she was a great host. I highly recommend this to anyone interested we spent a week in Charleston this was our last day in town and by far our best. This experience hands down made the trip unforgettable for both my wife and myself thank you so much. Thanks so much the great experience and incredible hospitality.
