  • When you want some wildlife but you're stuck in the city

This was a fantastic experience. The dolphin sanctuary is a very peaceful, idyllic wilderness area. Our guides, Alex and Liam, were incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife and were also excited to share it with us. Most of the people traveled in sit-in tandem kayaks, but my brother and I got sit-on singles as we're both bigger guys (6'2"and 6'8" and 350 pounds each). We got lucky and saw all kinds of dolphins. They were quite curious about us and swam around us for minutes at a time. This was the best thing we've done on our visit to Adelaide. Very highly recommended!

  • Still a must to try at SA

It's a very organised tour, however dolphins are kind a rare to see during our experience. Still a must to try adventures at SA

  • Excellent morning out kayaking

Excellent few hours on the kayaks...the water was very calm and tranquil and our guides Alex and Kevin were excellent, their local knowledge was brilliant...we all learned a lot about the local area and wildlife. We saw numerous dolphins which were jumping out of the water close up. We were also shown shipwrecks and told all about the history. Excellent morning. Highly recommended.

  • Not the most interesting place to paddle.

Located about 25 minutes N of Adelaide, this is a professionally-run kayak organization that only misses the mark becase the area is just not that interesting. Yes, there are mangroves, but actually very few areas that are not on a large, wide channel. We did paddle up one tributary that was narrow and sort of jungle-y, but mostly we paddled on waterways that were hundreds of yards wide. While we did not see any dolphins, members of our group did. Just the luck of the draw!

Had a great time paddling around with Paddy, he helped us find a little group of dolphins playing and fishing, was great to see them jumping and swimming around. The detour through the mangrove forest creek was very cool, felt like a different little world.

  • Fantastic afternoon out on the water

A lovely, serene afternoon out on the water. Kayaking is a very peaceful, relaxing activity (although you do have to do some paddling of course!) and there was no pressure to keep up with more experienced group members. The session was for 3 hours (I had seen info somewhere that said 2 hours) but you could come back to short a bit earlier if you wanted. The tour including viewing some boat wreckages and we were lucky enough to see a couple of dolphins. Note that the Angas Inlet Boat Club is quite far frim Adelaide city centre (I was lucky to have had a lift there and back from my friend), so be aware that you'll need to get an Uber/taxi as there are no buses or other public transport to get you there (hence the 4 stars rather than 5)

  • Amazing experience, tour ran very smoothly

My partner and I loved this kayak tour! Alex the tour guide was super knowledgeable, friendly and nice. I was a bit nervous about kayaking as I had a bad experience in the past but we were all given an intro and tips so it was very beginner friendly, we all had life jackets and the water wasn't very deep at all plus very calm waters as we were in a bay. It was good they managed our expectations by letting us know we may not see any dolphins and that was okay as we were happy to kayak around the area and among the mangroves but we were so lucky to see a dolphin swim up to us! The guide and operators clearly care deeply about dolphin conservation and everything ran very smoothly, highly recommend.

  • Nice paddle in the mangroves and a ship wreck

It was a nice tour, unfortunately we did not see any dolphins that day, which is apparently rare and unusual. Many had difficulty paddling out against the wind and current. Tour guide was great, enjoyed going in the mangroves creek.

Organized crew with getting everyone set up and out on the kayaks. Our guide, Brayden was safety conscious, friendly and knowledgeable. All the traits one wants in a guide for this kind of tour. This tour is great for kayaks of any level. And the location offered so many things to see and explore.
