It’s not every day that you get to paddle your way down a mangrove creek forest that has been there for over 10,000 years. We kayak up close to shipwrecks, relics of a bygone era (weather/wind permitting) and along the way have the opportunity to spot dolphins. It’s a special experience that simply can’t be replicated, which is why Dolphin Sanctuary Kayak Tours is a must-do!
Our guides are marine biologists who have experience and knowledge of working with marine mammals and wildlife. Participants don’t need any prior kayaking experience, and we travel at a comfortable pace to accommodate reasonable fitness levels.
We hope to see you paddling with us in the Sanctuary soon!

Alex was amazing and had so much knowledge of the dolphins and the habitat around them! The weather was rainy but we still made the most of it and it was a beautiful kayak trip

Morning of kayaking exploring Garden Island and Torrens Island, objective to see dolphins. No prize unfortunately, did have a lot of fun though. Shipwrecks and mangroves, tour guides Paddy and Mark extremely knowledgeable of the area.

After confirming our weavers were comple, we were fitting up with life vests, paddles and optional dry cases. We had a little bit of a tutorial and safety chat before heading out onto the water. The weather wasn't that great, a little choppy and trying to rain, but that didn't hold us back. We had various sightings of bird, fish and a dolphin. We sadly didn't make it out to the shipwrecks due to the strong tides that day, but all in all, a good day travelling around the mangroves and estuary.

They provided about all that you needed. Bring a water bottle with water. Be ready to paddle a bit. Nice tour. No dolphins but that can't be helped.

The tour was cancelled due to rain (understandable) , but we were not texted until 0830, when the tour starts at 0900. I noticed later I was emailed at 0800, but we were still on our way to get there early to fill out waiver forms. Expensive Uber ride for nothing.

Second time doing this tour and took my partner along this time! Like last time, really enjoyable experience and knowledgeable guide Paddy to show us through the mangroves and ship wrecks. Had great weather and calm winds and the dolphins were out to play, feeding over in the edge of the mangroves while we watched from a safe distance. Great experience and would highly recommend 😍

I highly recommend this tour. We were a group of 4 ladies travelling from Perth, we booked this tour last minute and we were so happy we did. We did this at the end of our trip to Adelaide and honestly this was the highlight of our trip. We had so much fun. Our guide, Paddy, was just the best, he was knowledgeable, fun and patient and made the experience all the better. We got to see dolphins which was amazing in itself but also kayaked down the mangrove creeks which were so lovely to glide down and have a bit of a rest. We also got to see some shipwrecks and the history of these were really interesting. Our arms were tired at the end but that was a small price to pay for such a great morning out. Thank you so much to Paddy and the team at Dolphin Sanctury Kayak Tours, you are doing an amazing job in an amazing place and perhaps one day we will be back to see it all again.

The kayaking was great fun and the guide Mark was very friendly and informative. Kayaking through the mangroves was an awesome experience with lots of birds flying around. We also got to see some dolphins jumping around. Unfortunately the weather turned and it was too windy to go and see the wrecks but Mark made sure everyone made it back safely. Highly recommend wearing clothes you can get wet and bringing a towel as we did end up capsizing near the end. Lots of water, sunscreen and mosquito repellent are also a good idea. Overall, we really enjoyed it and definitely would do it again!

I had a great time! They taught us how to paddle (which was good as I didn't have much experience) and answered patienly to all our questions. Our guide Alex was wonderful, he explained everything thoroughly and helped us when we struggled. Defenitely would recommend :)
