What To Expect

Amarante

Our first stop is Amarante, a charming, historic town in northern Portugal, known for its picturesque setting along the Tâmega River and its rich artistic and cultural heritage. making it ideal for exploring on foot, with its cobblestone streets, balconied houses, and notable landmarks like the São Gonçalo Bridge and Monastery. Here we will stop for a coffee break and delight our selves with some beautiful sweet pastries.

After a 40 mins. drive, we will stop for breathtaking views at a scenic viewpoint tucked away in the Douro Valley. Offering panoramic views across the winding river, terrace vineyards and rolling hills that define the regions charm. We will also stop at our 1st winery for a tasting, consisting of Douro Doc wines, Vintage Port, olive oil and a 3 course meal all overlooking the vineyards. This family owned winery is truly special with over 400 years of history. You will experience a private tour of the cellars, walk along the gardens of the property and immerse yourselves in some of the finest wines of the region.
