What To Expect
We start the day at the Régua Train Station or at your pre-defined accommodation, subject to availability. We will travel to Pinhão via the N222 with beautiful views; 1-hour Rabelo boat trip along the Douro River; Visit to a viewpoint to have a view of the entire Valley and the opportunity to take beautiful photos; Visit and wine tasting at a family winery; We end at the same place as we started

5.00Fernando arrived on time and took us to the viewpoint.. The views of the Douro Valley are amazing from here. Next we went on the boat tour and finally to the winery where we tried two local wines and three ports. All were excellent and bought a couple of bottles of port to take home. Would highly recommend this tour. Thank you so much for a memorable day.

5.00Our family of 4, including 2 young adults, had a great experience touring with Fernando on a day trip from Porto into the Douro valley region including (1) a visit to a fantastic small production vineyard hosted by Luis, a passionate and engaging winemaker who manages a property held by his family for many generations, and (2) an hour long boat ride on the Douro, offering scenic views of vineyards and properties along the river. Fernando shared a lot of information and insights during the tour. We were grateful for his willingness to pick up/drop off in Porto for an added charge instead of the established meeting point in Regua. This is a great tour to experience the Douro valley if you appreciate small producers and a shorter experience on the river.

5.00My husband and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Our driver was engaging and had lots of knowledge about the Douro Valley area and its history. Our tour began with pickup near our hotel in Porto. Despite almost constant rain, the ride through the Valley was comfortable and the scenery was beautiful. Our first stop was a small family winery which the family has owned for over 4 generations. We were met by Tiago, an employee of the farm, who lead the tour. There was also another couple touring and they joined us. We had a brief tour of the grounds, and the production and storage areas before heading to the tasting room. It was a beautiful setting and we learned a lot about how they produce and store their wines. Incredibly, everything is still done by hand (and feet). The tasting was great! It was fun to talk about each of the wines while we enjoyed the bread and cheeses provided, and we were able to meet Fernando and Lilli, the owners. The rain was pretty constant and it was a bit windy and cold, so we opted to skip the boat ride. It all worked out great though, as our driver quickly arranged to take us to another small, family winery. This winery was higher up and the views were incredible. The owner was so nice and he provided us with three wines to taste, as well as some of the olive oil and honey they produce. We highly recommend this tour!

5.00A great tour of the Duoro Valley. Fernando’s tour is the perfect half-day trip, which was helpful when traveling with a child. It was probably our favorite activity while in Portugal.
