Leaving from Porto, meet your tour guide at 08:30 a.m and travel to the beautiful Douro Valley in a comfortable climatized vehicle.
After the first stretch of the journey you will be visiting a small family owned vineyard, with a wine tasting of their own production.
Next enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley (Pinhão) where we will embark on the unique experience of doing a short 45 min cruise in the Douro River, to soak in the beautiful landscape while admiring the terraced hills with the quintessential vineyards and estates that turn the margins of the Douro River into one of the most unique in the world.
Then, in order to complete this experience, enjoy a traditional lunch in a vineyard of a small-medium producer, finishing with a delicious port wine tasting, at their cellars.
After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto.

Parents should bring the baby car seat ajusted to infant's age (1 to 3 years old). We only have seats available after 4 years old.
This tour may be done in two languages. We try to avoid it, but sometimes we have no other solution.
Private option it's done in a private vehicle only with your private guide. The vineyards and rest of the locations are shared with other participants.
For lunch we provide meat, fish, vegan and vegetarian option.
Reschedulings with less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged a 30% fee (subject to availability);
We do not recommend that you book or schedule different activities at the end of the tour. Although the tour may last 9/10 hours, the duration may vary depending on traffic conditions and other factors.
Please be aware that the activities which we visit, such as vineyards, restaurants, etc, are subject to 3rd party availability and other groups/participants may be with the your group during the experience.

The pick-up service is only available for the ones that choose the option "Small Group Tour - Up to 8 people" and "Private Tour".
Please make sure that you have breakfast. Keep in mind that we probably will only stop at the first activity. We may not have time to make a pit stop before arriving to the first vineyard.
On the private option infants or childrens must be booked as an individual adult/place. Prices shown are per group/vehicle.

A memorable day in the Douro valley

5.00It has been a very stormy winter in the Douro valley and we were unable to travel on the river but it didn’t matter. Our guide, Pedro, made our travels in the valley and to three exceptional wineries a wonderful experience. Pedro is very knowledgeable about the history of the area and we learned a lot and each of our hosts at the wineries were incredibly hospitable and entertaining. The lunch provided was exceptional. It was a rainy day spent with strangers who became good friends. It was our first trip to northern Portugal. We would highly recommend the tour and look forward to going back to the Douro valley on our next trip to Portugal.
10/10 Experience and Great Guide.

5.00This tour was absolutely worth it. We booked the 19-person group tour, but there were only six of us, which made the experience feel much more personal. We all rode together in a van where every seat was filled, yet it still felt spacious and comfortable. Vítor, our guide, did an amazing job keeping us entertained, informed, and on schedule throughout the day. The first winery we visited was absolutely stunning. Although the weather was too rainy for the planned boat tour, the alternative option of visiting a third winery did not disappoint. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the region.

4.00We had a wonderful experience touring the wineries. I learned so much and enjoyed the port. lunch was delicious! I was disappointed we could not take the river boat but it was bad weather and couldn't be helped. Our tour guide was fun and sweet.

5.00Rita and Lucas (our driver) offered a fantastic tour of the gorgeous Douro Valley. Rita is very knowledgeable and fun, and the whole experience was superb. We weren’t able to take a boat ride because of the river’s high levels and flood debris, but we got to visit a third winery instead.

3.00Don't book until you confirm the cruise will happen….. we went today…. Booked a couple of days prior…. AFTER WE BOARDED THE BUS we were told by the Living Tours guide that the cruise would not be happening because of the weather…and that they’d replace it with a third winery visit with a cheese board and wine. … which they warned may occur from time to time… (We understand that for safety reasons they couldn’t offer the cruise option) BUT As we understand it…. The cruises have not been running for several days….so they knew long before we even booked that it wasn’t a two winery and cruise tour. The tour was fine…. But in our opinion the wine and cheese replacement at a third winery no where near equaled the loss of the cruise option. Once we learned of the change (while on the bus!) we were not offered the chance to cancel or rebook.

5.00Luis was an excellent guide he was very knowledgeable, attentive to everyone’s needs, anticipated necessary stops and just a wonderful person in general. We had three tastings and lunch, the cruise was canceled due to high waters from the unprecedented rain across Spain and Portugal. The Douro Valley was beautiful, like no other. Lunch was delicious and the ladies were generous with wine, food and espresso. A can’t miss opportunity!

5.00Although the weather was cold and rainy, we still had a great day trip to the Douro Valley. Pedro picked us up promptly at 8:30 and off we went to Douro. Our first stop was to Pinhão for an hour long boat tour. The beauty of traveling off season is we were the only people on the boat. Pedro pointed out some sights alone the river. The boat also had a narration of the sights along the way. The next stop was at Qinta do Lodeiro for lunch and tasting. This is a beautiful quinta and lunch was wonderful. The tasting in the cellar was a lot of fun and the wines were great. Our last stop was at Solar dos Dragos. This is another small producer with a tasting room in Gaia. Another wonderful tasting experience. Overall, Pedro was a great driver and guide. He has so much information about the area including restaurant recommendations for Porto and the Douro Valley. The hosts at the wineries were all genuinely happy to spend time with us and showcase their wineries and wines. This was a great tour and we highly recommend it.

5.00Had an amazing day with eFun Tours: Tiago and Lucas. It was quite rainy, but that didn't stop us from visiting 3 wineries and having a lovely lunch. I booked the 50 person large group tour and it ended up being 8 of us- so it was quite lovely and very enjoyable. The car ride is a bit curvy, so if you have motion sickness, sit by the window and maybe bring medicine to help just in case.

The lunch was amazing (what a really interesting house/restaurant); the wineries were photogenic with great wines; Tiago, our guide, was friendly and interesting (and our driver Lucas did a great job in the rainy weather) - we all had a great time. There were 8 of us - 4 of us with 2 other couples and afterwards we were all friends. I would strongly recommend this tour.
