What To Expect
Bampton
We will collect you from your Central London hotel and drive you through London and out into the Oxfordshire countryside. Our first stops are in Oxfordshire. We visit the villages that became the village of Downton. Here we can have photographs outside Matthew Crawley’s house, the Hospital and the two village pubs. There are far too many other locations to list here, plus we don't wish to spoil all the surprises for you. Walk through the entrance to the hospital. Visit the church where all the weddings and funerals were filmed.. Walk by the post office. Plus a lot more....
Cotswolds
We visit other villages in the Cotswolds area which are a secret to surprise you that have featured in the series. Leaving the villages behind us we start to head cross country to Highclere Castle. This journey takes around 50 minutes as Highclere is 40 miles away from our last Cotswold village. We will stop in the countryside for lunch (own expense) at an old English Pub. We arrive at Highclere Castle after lunch

Although the torrential rains put a damper on the day, we felt Greg provided us with a great experience. We recommend Greg without reservation.

5.00This was the trip of a life time. I have never been more pleased with the tour guide Andrew. He made the entire trip across the pond so very memorable. Thank you Andrew. Terri and I also appreciate your history knowledge. HighClere castle tour was super nice and very well organized. The add on tea was very-very nice and we were treated to a tasty selection, Mrs Patmore and Daisy would have certainly approved.

5.00This was a great way to get to Highclere Castle from London and see the villages where Downton was filmed. Even if you aren't a Downton fan (one of our group had never watched) you will enjoy the castle and historic villages. Our guide was well prepared and very knowledgeable about the host of the area. We always felt safe and would recommend this tour to our friends.

5.00We were lucky enough to have Driver/Guide Steven for the entire day while visiting the Cotswolds and Castle. It was absolutely brilliant. He was a wealth of information and made the day truly special. We visited many of the sites that were used in the filming and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. A pub lunch with Steven was a must and was a highlight. He was a warm and cheerful guide. If you have a chance to have this driver you will be very lucky. Rain (it poured) or shine it was well worth the cost of this full day trip. Best tour we had during our week in London

5.00GREG IS AMAZING! My mom is a massive DA fan and Greg made sure she saw all the filming sights and we even lucked out and met a local woman whose home was used for filming…what a rare and special treat! My mom was in the hunt for a teacup for her collection and Greg made sure she had a chance to shop at a few antique places to find the perfect one! He was informative and kind and made our day so special!
