Discover the best of Asheville on this 2-Hour Public or Private Guided Sightseeing Walking Tour with Local Guide. As you take in some of the historical city sites and learn about the best places to eat, drink and play, we will provide a map with discounts all over town, including a beer tasting and some free artwork!
This tip-based tour allows you to pay what you think it’s worth in the end! You will learn how Asheville became the unique, quirky city you see now and what we are doing to "Keep Asheville Weird."
Your Local Guide will lead you along the Urban Trail, passing by top sites such as the S&W cafeteria, Basilica of St Lawrence, and Grove Arcade. Stop along the way for private tour of Leaf Global Arts Center. Tastings are provided by local businesses who provide them when open/available.
On the private tours only, we will explore the secret tunnels of Pack's Tavern Restaurant! These tunnels were a part of Asheville's underground clandestine routes used during Prohibition.

Walkthrough beautiful Grove Arcade and provide tips for unique bars and restaurants inside.
Pack Square
We will discuss the history of Pack Square and the unique architecture that surrounds us! We will then walk down Patton and Haywood road, discovering all of the historical monuments on the way to the Basilica.

5.00We enjoyed Asheville, and our guide Peter! He explained a lot about the history and the immense diversity in the area. It was completely unique and interesting. He is definitely a true believer and an excellent spokesperson for the area. It was obvious how much the whole of Asheville meant to him. We would definitely like to take another trip to the area and spend more time exploring and trying all the unique types of cuisine that is offered. Thank you!!

3.00It was okay. Too much info about music scene (of artists no one in the group knew of) over the years, just various name-dropping—not many stories. The few stories he told were actually okay, though. It just went on and on; it would’ve been better at a hour. Cost 10 bucks, but we tipped 30 bucks out of guilt. I should have bought a better tour. My time is more valuable than this. A lot of standing around, not much movement.
