Welcome to Austin's #1 Booked Experience.
This 2.5 hour kayaking trip through downtown is magical. We start by paddling the length of the Austin skyline during the golden hour, then stop to watch the sunset.
We then get into position for the best bat viewing and give a speech all about the bats just before they all fly out. We can usually time the bat flight perfectly so you have more time to explore the rest of the skyline.
On the way home, we encourage you to take your time and take a few breaks to watch the cities lights come to life when the skyscrapers turn on their lights.

Guide was knowledgeable and helpful. It’s a lot of kayaking be prepared to row for a 1/2 hr both ways, also you will be wet when you get done the experience. Very cool to relax and watch the bats. The lake is a great space to kayak on.

Amazing. Fun and relaxing to kayak on the lake before and after the bats. Very informative and incredible to see all the bats coming out of the bridge while under them on the water. Highly recommend!!

The 'tour' was a bit long for young kids - we started at 7 and had a leisurely ride towards the bridge and had a lot of time to kill. The bats flew out starting around 820 and we watched for about 20 minutes then we just started the trek back. Unfortunately the wind was against us the whole way back and made it hard to get all the way back to the bridge (we had 2 adults, 2 kids that couldn't paddle). The guide had a lot of knowledge about the bats which was cool but that was all they talked about. No other history about the skyline. There was no 'tour' really so for that reason I'm giving it a 3 star but also the cost. $50/person even for little kids. We were on a large paddle board so the whole family used 1 piece of equipment. Its hard to justify $200 for a mostly self guided tour for a 10 min talk about bats.

Aaron and his crew (we worked with Rob) did a great job with a huge group on a super windy night. Made everyone feel comfortable and safe. Excellent info on Austin and the bats as well. Highly recommend!
