Wildlife Wonders' Sanctuary offers a glimpse into an Otways habitat before the arrival of predators such as foxes and cats. Wildlife lives freely in a natural habitat, without cages, and on a wildlife walk they can be seen going about their daily lives.
Dusk is a time when most animals are active, as nocturnal animals rise for the night and day-active animals return to rest. Dusk Discovery tours are limited to just 10 people, allowing time to capture stunning sunsets as well as amazing wildlife viewing and photography opportunities.
As with all of Wildlife Wonders' experiences, 100% of profits go to support conservation and research into Australia's threatened species.

What To Expect
This Dusk Discovery wildlife tour gives visitors access to the Wildlife Wonders sanctuary as the sun is setting and the resident wildlife is most active. Potoroos, bandicoots, pademelons and more are just waking up and starting their active nights of feeding and foraging, while the day-active animals are seeking their favourite spots to snooze for the night. On this small, intimate, 90-minute tour, you will follow a 1.4km winding path through a range of habitats, while your conservationist guide gives you exclusive insights into the lives of the elusive and rarely seen animals who call the Otways home. There will also be the opportunity for spectacular sunset photo opportunities. The experience includes a mezze plate of local delights with beer or wine.

5.00Very well run experience, from the yummy dinner provided all the way to the professionally guided nature walk with a conservationist. We saw many animals: koalas, kangaroos, wallabies. Tour is laid out with the safety of people and animals in mind.E.g Visitors are provided with an earpiece so that you can hear the tour guide talk at all times even, since the guide needs to speak in a soft voice to not shy away animals. You will walk away delighted and with a lot more knowledge about Australian wild life.
A special place to see many animals, from potoroos to echidnas, wallabies, and koalas!

5.00This 32 acre refuge protects many native animals from predators while allowing them to roam. We saw about 10 different types of animals and learned a lot about them. Plus we supported animal research so they will have a better chance of surviving! Our guide was very knowledgeable and helped us understand the animals better. We highly recommend this tour!

5.00The evening began with a nice supper. Our guide (whose name I can’t remember unfortunately) was excellent. We saw kangaroos, wallabies, emu and koala and other creatures. There were 10 of us on the tour which was a good number. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The profits from the tours go to support important conservation work. Highly recommended.

5.00This was a great walk with an experienced and knowlegable guide. Dusk is a great time to view animal activity and we saw quite a lot. The light meal (excellent!) before the tour was a real plus given the time of the tour. I felt it was good value for the time we spent there, though it would have been nicer if the group was smaller (it was between 16 and 20). At times the viewing was difficult due to the number of people. Highly recommended.

5.00The dusk discovery tour is brilliant, we saw so much wildlife we never usually see such as swamp rats, pademelons, potoroos. The guide was very informative and your money goes back into conservation. The sanctuary helps to keep native animals safe from invasive predators.
