What To Expect
Experience the thrills of the Murray River on a self-guided Fast Water Rafting tour. No need to worry about any logistics as Dwelling up Adventures do all the organizing for you! Meet at Dwelling up Adventures, located at the award-winning Dwelling up Trails and Visitors Centre with the lovely Waypoints Café. From here you will get fitted out with your safety equipment and head to the start of the rafting experience, following a guide in your own vehicle. Leave your vehicle at the finish point and let Dwelling up Adventures transport you to the start, stopping along the way to point out river features. You spend the next few hours shooting some small rapids, paddling through fast-moving channels and along wide pools at your own pace. The lightness of your inflated raft allows you to easily carry your raft back above some of the rapids where you can shoot them multiple times before paddling to the finish point at Bobs Crossing, where you rendezvous with Dwelling Up Adventures and your car.

3.00I made a booking for the a 'fast raft' from their website and was informed only once at pickup that we could only use it between Yarragil and Baden-Powell day use area. This was a bit disappointing as we hired the 'fast raft' for exactly the purpose of what it states on the website: FAST WATER RAFTS Suited to longer distance paddles and rapids. If we had known previous to our arrival of the paddling limitations we wouldn't have required the 2-day hire as it only takes a few hours in winter to do the whole 'allowed zone'. I recommend putting the "allowed zone" map you provide at pickup on your website somewhere so others aren't caught out by this. FYI for anyone planning to hire these for rapids. Other than that, the team were friendly and even supplied a raft foot pump because we hired for 2 days. Good thing as well, because the raft had multiple pinhole leaks. These didn't affect our paddling on day 1. The raft had deflated a little over night but the pump sorted it out.
