Nothing says Christmas like Dyker Heights, the most famous display of lights on the planet. Locals have been decorating their homes—personally and professionally—since the '80s, making it a true NYC winter wonderland.
THE TOUR WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN or SHINE!
The ride from Midtown to Dyker Heights in Brooklyn is about an hour long on board of our comfortable coach fully heated with a restroom on board.
Your guide will escort you to Lucy Spata's house, the house that started this tradition, and walk you through the most illuminated streets before taking you back to the bus. You will spend about an hour in Dyker Heights strolling around and taking pictures.
The next stop will be at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge in the DUMBO/Brooklyn Heights area of Brooklyn. You will have about 25 minutes to take pictures of the breathtaking Manhattan skyline and the Bridge.
Then you will return to Manhattan via the Manhattan Bridge. The tour ends at the Bryant Park Winter Village.

The lights were quite spectacular but not always in a concentrated area so sometimes a lot of walking just to get to the houses with the lights. The bus ride over was quite frustrating and long; unnecessarily long. We stopped shortly after leaving just for a restroom break that took forever. No wonder the trip is listed as a 4hr trip! There’s a bathroom on the bus! On the return departure there was yet another restroom stop under the Brooklyn Bridge. We took the opportunity to leave the group at that point and walk back over the bridge, stopping first for a great pizza dinner on the Brooklyn side. That saved the night from being a complete waste of time.

Quite hilly so not suitable for those with walking restrictions. Houses are decorated beautifully as its residential be respectful of properties and neighbours

My family went on this tour on Christmas and it was really nice. The drawback was that there were a lot of other tours going on at the time so we were left behind several times by our guide which caused us to miss out on the history of the homes. Our tour guide did give everyone on the tour his number in case anyone got lost. This was perfect because there were some people who had to call. He also had a light that he held up as he walked to make sure we could see him. The stop to the Brooklyn Bridge was beautiful! I would recommend this tour because it took us to another area of New York we wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

After about an hour of Buses to get out of Manatthan and get to the business district the police thought it best to stop the buses and not let anyone off. Return to the city with total disappointment

We had lewis today and he was exceptional, his knowledge of new york (being a new yorker as he would put it) was tremendous and gave us knowledge throughout the tour. True gent and always put his customers first offering to take pictures of families outside the beautifully lit houses. Will definitely be recommending you to family and friends for this tour in the future

Booked this tour for 2nd January. Got to Dyker Heights and the police pulled the tour guide and had words. We got back on the coach and drove around the side and got back off. The police came speeding up and jumped out in the middle of the street screaming that either we get back onto the bus or get an uber home that the company had deceived us and lied and the tours stop on the 1st. That she’s working there 8 years and the mayor does not allow any tours after the 1st as he doesn’t have man power to guard the streets. The tour guide lied to us saying the police allowed us to park around the corner but this was not true.she also said she only worked until the 1st this was the first time to do a tour after this date. As we got back into the bus she proceeded to tell us that all tours go to the 6th again more lies. My child was upset my mother annoyed and angry that we paid good money for 7 of us on our holidays and our trip was ruined as we were lied to and deceived by the tour group. They were upset and frightened when the police came round the corner lights flashing and jumping out of the car. This is absolutely disgusting what we went through and we have not been contacted by anyone from the tour. I had to file a complaint with viator when I retimed home from holiday as I could t access my emails while there. I booked the tour for the Dyker Heights experience, I’ve been to manhattan many times do the rest of the bus journey I had already done. Please check your tours when booking and ensure that they do them on the dates you chose otherwise you’ll end up going through what happened my family and our group. Utterly disgusted and upset at what we endured on this tour

The Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Guided Tour was well worth the money spent on it !! The tour guide was excellent- he spoke the whole time we were on the bus, spoke to us about so many interesting topics and took pictures of us at the Brooklyn Bridge. The neighborhood lights were spectacular!!! So many houses decorated and no two were alike.
