Along country roads, among trulli, farmhouses and dry stone walls, I will show you the places I love and experience every day by pedaling together for 20 km (about 12 miles).
We start from Alberobello, the capital of the trulli, towards Locorotondo, the most evocative village in the Valle d'Itria: where a tasty stop at a traditional local bakery awaits us.
We will taste the typical Apulian focaccia freshly baked by Giovanni, accompanied by a glass of wine.
Afterwards, before returning to Alberobello, we will stop at the pastry shop of Signora Maria to taste the almond sweets of our tradition.
On the way back we will consume seasonal fruits, picking them directly from the trees (cherries, figs, fioroni, pears, blackberries, mulberries).
It won't be a tourist experience, not a classic e-bike tour but a little adventure: local life, away from crowded places.

Itria Valley
Along countryside lanes , among Trulli, Masserie and dry-stone walls, I will show you the places I love and live in my everyday life. We will cycle together for 20 km (about 12 miles). We'll leave from Alberobello, capital of Trulli, heading to Locorotondo, one of the most stunning towns in Valle d'Itria. Here, we'll get to know the locals and stop by a traditional deli where we will have the chance to taste the typical Apulian focaccia, just baked by Giovanni, filled with your favorite charcuterie and vegetables and washed down by a glass of good wine or a drink of your choice. Then, before returning to Alberobello, we'll stop at Maria's bakery to eat some local almond cookies and along the way, we'll taste seasonal fruits, hand-picking right from the trees (cherries, fichi, fioroni, pears, blackberries and mulberries, depending on the season). Our tour ends with an amazing tasting of Apulian rosolii. (a typical homemade liqueur)
Centro Storico Locorotondo
We will cross the streets of the historic center with our E-Bikes until we arrive at Mr. Giovanni's bakery to taste the typical Apulian focaccia

We drove to Alberobello from Monopoli and joined our bike trail leader, Yuniqly. We took many back roads through the countryside seeing many orchards and some vineyards. The roads weren’t too hilly so there was little to no stress about that. We stopped at Locomorotondo’s old town for a bit of wandering before setting out again. Then we were taken to the 100yo home of a nice gentleman who was nearly the same age. He served us focaccia, wine, (homemade) limoncello and (homemade) grappa! The conversation was wonderful as was the explanation and tour of the details of his home. Then we continued on back roads until we returned to Alberobello. After returning the bikes we were free to wander the old town and take in the culture. Ladies, trust me when I say you’ll want a bike seat topper (BYO). Idk what it is about bike seats these days but you’ll appreciate having one to tie on. Yuniqly has very good English and the day was thoroughly enjoyable! Small parties welcome as well as larger.

Our bike tour was excellent. The E bikes were new and very easy to ride. The landscape is so beautiful and the roads are safe for cyclists. We had a brief stop (could be longer) to visit the city of Locorottondo and a second stop (longer) to visit a Trullo owned by a lovely local couple. Mr Stefano, the owner showed us his home and offered a delicious Foccacia and some wine. Our guides Riccardo and Marko were excellent, very attentive and nice.

This was such a fun experience! The ride through the countryside was breathtakingly beautiful. The stop in Locorotondo was great! I wish we could’ve stayed even longer. Of course, the wine and focaccia was a welcomed treat!

A lovely, relaxed few hours guided by Jacopo. The E-bikes were in extremely good condition, comfortable and easy to ride (I am a cyclist but it was my first time on an electric bike). It was also really reassuring to have Orazio riding behind the group and stopping traffic where necessary so that we could cross the roads easily. That said, most of the riding was along very quiet country lanes amongst olive groves. It's by far the best way to see the countryside. The highlight was our stop at Stefano's house - a delightful 91 year old who shared wine and foccacia with us and showed us around his trullo home. It was a very authentic experience. Unfortunately the weather was against us and we got caught in the rain on the way back - but I'm so glad we went despite the weather - it would have been a great shame to miss such an enjoyable experience. Thank you Jacopo and Orazio!

Jacopo gave us a wonderful tour through the backroads between Alberbello and Locorotondo. He provided great information about the Trulli and the surrounding area. TJ’s highlight was having focaccia and wine with his 91yo friend Stefano, who also let us tour his home. Highly recommend this experience!

The scenery from Alberobello to Locorotondo was incredible. Our guide Nicollo has a great personality and engaged with us in such a nice way. He is charming and gave a great explanation of the Trulli houses. His interaction with Stefano was so sweet and kind. Stefano was very generous in welcoming us to his home. Chico was wonderful in helping my husband with his broken chain. Despite the rain at the end of our tour, it was the best experience we could have ever had. And the e-bikes were 👍👍.

Our guides were excellent. The wine and focaccia were so good. We stopped off at one of the guides, friends homes for a tour of a trullo and a break.
