Tom is very passionate and knowledgeable about the history of WWII. He took the time to describe in detail the history of the Eagle’s Nest, Hitler’s Berghof and the Berchtesgaden area. His impressive photo collection offers a unique insight into the inner workings of the Third Riech, it includes many unpublished photographs from the construction of the Tea House as well as some of the renovations made to Hitler’s Berghof. We were also given the opportunity to see some of the behind the scenes sights such as the generation station hidden in the tunnel system beneath the Tea House and the Brass Elevator made for Hitler. I would highly recommend Tom to anyone interested in the history of WWII and the Berchtesgaden area. For us, it was money well spent.
